I have a few suggestions that may help ppl come and stay on are 1.6 server.
Maps
Many of times when i am playing maps about to change, vote will come up Custom or Official. This is good. However, the list of the 5 maps will be horrid maps choices that ‘NO ONE’ ‘EVER’ plays.
EXAMPLE: *so when the map changes from lets say de_dust 2 (which currently has 10-20ish) players to the new map lets say (de_vertigo) only about 5 people will attempt to join. Once they play a round or two, they see everyone ealts has left and that no one ealts is joining, so they also will leave.
From this example, Our new awesome server is sitting for 30min’s waiting to change to the default map so people can join back.
What we can do
* First off is and prob the easiest is to update are current maps. and re organize the map selections for ‘Official’ and ‘Custom’ and maybe have a new one ‘Fun’ or exc…
In my mind, and what most people think of an ‘Official’ map is a CAL map. any map that a major league plays for comp’s should be qualified for ‘official’ Ex. de_dust De_dust 2 de_aztec cs_office , Exc
Maps that dont leagues don’t play ex. ‘as_oilrig de_storm as_tundra de_survivor cs_siege’ should not be under that section.

Another thing that may help people say in are server is getting some type of Mod which will allow (any player) to change the map if the majority or like (75%) or more of the current players would like to change the map. I’ve seen several types of these, but have not researched it in detail.

Spawn Killing
What ever mod is running now is horrible!!!
During let’s say Awp_map it might work once every 3 rounds.
and when it is running correctly for myself, I’ll get spawn killed and the other players does not get slayed but maybe half the time.
Not sure what to suggest, except for to either take it off completely or find a mod that works…

Auto buy
Are server attracts nearly 90% of new or beginning lever players. I have personally herd countless players say why doesn’t ‘autobuy’ work..?’
Is there an answer to this?
I believe making autobuy and rebuy available would be in the best interest of the server.

to help the process please make a zip archive of all the maps that you asked for me to put on. I would suggest taht you go to a Map pack website and download them using that way. DO NOT GRAB THEM OUT OF YOUR CS FOLDER it will not work, because you wil be missing .wad sounds and textru files. So go find all the maps you want and make one large zip folder and ill grab them from you on aim.
I deleted alot of maps nobody wants to play on a pub, I am going to leave the autobuy rebuy issue to SPlit becaue he should have figured that issue out way before you even made the post to the need of it being fixed Here is a link to help you split http://djeyl.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=36135&hl=rebuy
also split will speak on the amx_votes when he gets in.
Also i diabled the spawn killing plugin, so there should be no more issues with that.
Faulkner, I have three main sites i used to DL maps. However i haev never came across a map that needed any file other than a .txt and a .BSP file. (Which i have) I do know however certan maps do require files such as ( .bsp .res .txt GFX Sprites and Overviews) but i have not encountered any of thses with teh 200+ maps i have DL’ed
Listed below are a few FREE sites i DL from. please check them out as you will see, you only need a .bsp file with nearly all custom maps.

btw sorry about the Psychostats. I am getting really frustrated with them, but i will try to work the issue out soon.
well the stats listed on teh site works preatty good, just ingame stats dont work, and if they show are offthe wall random ratings..?

I started playing on this server earlier this semester with my roommate and a couple other friends on my campus, and for the most part it’s great. It’s the one server we all regularly play on.
i’ve just got a couple complaints however.
First off, the whole player switch thing is INCREDIBLY annoying, espcially when i’m playing with friends and we’re coordinating movements and things that are fun to do and then one person randomly gets switched to the other team. I of course understand the need for autobalance if teams are like 5 on 14, then i have no problem with switching a few people over, it’s when teams are even, and the games are going great and i’m suddenly switched to the other team for skill balance or whatever. It’s really dumb.
and secondly, i think the whole map voting thing is really cool…but i think it may be bugged. Just earlier today i was playing and the vote thing came up, and when de_train was picked i figured something was amis, so i pulled down the console and counted up the votes to see that assault_upc had like 3 or 4 more votes than train did. so someone may want to look into that.

We have went around the world to try to make the gaming servers the best that they can possibly be. I understand your frustration when you are on a specific team with your friends and it switches you. The plugin is coded to switch people amongst teams to equal the team scores. Its a true ‘team balancer’ the default autobalance doesnt take into account your score and looks to see if the team sizes are equal. We have great reason for using this plugin as we have seen Clans come into the server and pick one side of the teams and run people out of the server. It happens everyday in normal pubs. Therefore we must leave it on there. Plus you dont lose anything when your switched, so everything is still equal.
As for the map voting. I have seen some issues in the past as far as map selection, but Split our plugin coder will look more into the issue. Thanks for the suggestion.
SO far this server is the best i dont think there should be any changes except to what NoDice wrote about the maps … Kepp it up Adam
Actually i have the maps from NoDice and when split reviews them they will be put up on the server. Should take about 2 days.
Would Back_alley be a good map to put in there?? Cause i like that map. But i dont know how amny players it is. That would be cool if it would be in there
I sent alot of FY’s and DE maps, and a few fun maps like scoutz/AWP and KA’s

o well those maps look cool. Never played in any of em but hopefully they are 32 player maps. And perhaps you got good picks in maps.

But you were the last T, you were camping the very top, and there was only 50ish seconds left. I said / (Typed to all) plant the bomb countless times. so i slapped you to get you to move. since you were close to teh edge it knocked you off (BTW dident mean to kill you) i would have just slayed…
try not to camp on de_ maps if your the last one allive, and you need to plant the bomb.

I dont mind campers who are camping sites and have low hp, but please dont let anyone get away with camping the site the whole round, or hosties. Its stupid and just slay them if their on the objective side and they are camping spawn. Give them a slap and message first.
And when you slapped me off the building there were like a coupe of my teamates left but owel.. Yah i want to know waht is with those new maps… i Want to play those try em out!
