The server dies out very very damned fast when you got admins who are always pushing fy_snow or awp_dust on the players because “It’ll fill up the server.” Which is generally a falsehood, giving the paraspam and spawnkilling in excess of the two.

 

Also, a new map rotation would help. Waiting any longer would do the server a disservice.

i agree with adam the server rotation cant be changed for now, if we stopped having people rtv so much we would play decent maps

i really like the rtv

 

it’s perfect for when the server has less than 15 people in it. the maps change fast, but everyone says and enjoys it. when the server is nearly full, i still feel like it gets RTV to quickly but at the same time, it is happening much less than before. mixed blessing i suppose

it’s a vicious cycle. It stays full for a few months, then people just naturally get bored of playing cs. We’d all end up like that Korean guy who played Wow nonstop if we played cs over-religiously. We would all end up dead. Don’t worry though, in time, the server will repopulate itself. Tweaking things here and there wouldn’t hurt tho.

Thats exactly what happens.

 

Also, with RTV, the map rotation almost becomes pointless, because near the end of every map, everyone RTVs, even after ive changed the settings on it.

 

What do you guys think about setting the RTV to 75% of the server population must RTV for map change?

i think rtv is perfectly fine right now. hopefully the server will become full again since a lot of people are getting ready to go back to school…sigh

rtv @ 75% would be ridiculous 60% is fine for now. I would add more maps to the rtv list though… like a lot more maps

I wish there was a way to have RTV set to 50% when there is less than 10 peeps in the server, have RTV set to 60% for 10-18, and 75% for 18-full

 

 

that way it’s easier to RTV when the small populous would want to change the map, but also deters the full server from getting voted around by a select few

I would also like to point out (again) that dust2 should be moved to the end of the rotation, so that when the server crashes and resets to dust2, we’re not playing it twice in a row.

yeah scoutz used to be a very popular map and whenever it does get voted by a admin since it isn’t on the rtv list then people really do enjoy it more than they really should…e-boners everywhere…
