Well first off, should have posted in the CSS forum.

If its anything like CS…they should be as follows:

    rate 20000

    cl_updaterate 101

    cl_cmdrate 101

    ex_interp .01

    Moved to the correct section.

CSS rates are different than CS1.6. I’ll message Liam and have him post the recommended rates for the server.

I was under the impression that some of the rates were changed automatically when entering the server?? Am I wrong about this?

You are correct when saying that rates are enforced by the server. It really depends on how much bandwidth you have to the server. If you aren’t sending/receiving fast enough to the server, higher rates will actually hurt you. The server rates are (or were when I set them up) set to 20000/45/45. I don’t see why they would have been changed unless we are taking the new ping kicker into account (assume that it works). Then the max rates could probably be safely lifted to 20000/66/66. If you ping 45 or less, 30000/101/101 are perfect rates and are the server maximums :)

Acutally the server rates changed to correct some loss issues that were occurring.

    Max rate is: 65000

    Max cl_cmdrate is 101

    Max cl_updaterate is 101

After changing my rate to 65000 the loss I was experiencing went to 0 and has stayed there.

Ex is who recommended the change, and it made a huge difference.

I never get loss with 30/100/100.
