I can get 140+ FPS in CS:S

 

but i’m only getting 60FPS capped…. how do i cahnge this?

 

settings are something as follows

rate 25000

sv_rate 101

max_rate 101

You cannot for teh vsync pwns you in z hl1 engine games.

It’s probably vsync like kuros said. Also, try cl_cmdrate 100, cl_updaterate 100.

You can turn Vsync off and there is the FPS_MAX command in the good ole console. If you have an NVIDA card it’s easy. Open your card properties and turn it off. ( I can’t remember the exact spot & I’m lazy.)

Turning vsync off is pointless unless you’re trying to wave your e-penis about, and prove how many FPS you can crank out.

well i know i haev a big e-penis so not trying to wave it all about,, i can just not play 1.6 with whatever setting i have now… i’v had 2 other ppl ply on my setting and also were playing a lot worse…

 

so idk, i might just deleat all my shat and install cpl configs

sucks for me, I’m on a lappy w/ 60 Hz refresh rate. My 100 fps is useless.
