Ive been playing here consistantly for 2-3 years now, most everyone knows me. I was playing in sk yesterday and there was a ct who blocked doors every single round. when i suggested that an admin should slay him, he flipped out saying “shut the *edited* up *edited*.” immediately he was gagged (i thought racism was atleast a temp ban?) and i was gagged as well for ten mintesand told to “play nice”. even after multiple people asked why i was gagged it was not removed. then, as soon as i was ungagged i asked why i was gagged when he was being racist, and another admin(poopie i believe) gagged me again. wtf is with this.
I was there when this took place. You were gagged by tiggle or sticky i believe. You were also arguing if i remember correctly, thus you were gagged.
Not sure who that is. For some reason, I was thinking it was Invictus, but I don’t know how I came to that conclusion.
Personally, I think that “don’t argue with the admins” thing is kinda *edited*. People just hide behind their admin if someone calls them out on something or says something they don’t agree with, even if it’s true. Not sure if the story is 100% true up there, but stuff like that has happened in the past.
I can see how that rule comes in handy sometimes, but I see that as something to fall back on when things are getting out of hand during an argument, not justification for an instant gag. At that point, though, if things are getting out of hand, I would use admin on someone just cuz they become irrational and make stupid comments, or they get mad enough that you’ve suddenly turned into a mother*edited*ing *edited* n*gger, and more.
My point is, at that point in the argument, they usually do something that warrants using admin on them.
Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there since the reason he was gagged for cuz of that rule.

I gotta agree with tora on this. The “no arguing with admins” rule is over enforced. I can see if an argument gets out of hand, somebody gets gagged, but lately with MOST admins, I’ve been noticing alot of “Talk back to me and you’re gagged” crap.
There are/have been alot of jerk admins on these servers, who like tora said, hide behind their admin title. When I say jerk admins, I mean admins who are blatantly being jerkoffs, and the minute somebody innocent says something like “Isn’t that against the rules?” (such as team stacking), they get the good ole gag.
The PROBLEM with this is it’s not always dealt with properly. Logs should be looked at in EVERY single case.
But hey, what do I know. I’ve been running my own servers on various games for the last ten years, so I’m a total noob.
Here’s a thought. How about less “3 strike rule” BS, and more “suspensions when you abuse admin”? Suspensions should count as a strike in accordance with the 3 strike rule. I’ve seen relatively regular players (people who have been around a month or so) get in arguments with admins (over something stupid that the ADMIN did), and complain. Only to see said admin get “1 strike”, and show up later and ban that person permanently. 80% of the time, said player will never come back. Why? Because he’s been given a bad impression of how the servers are run.
So…..basically…toughen up on the admins. Alot of them abuse entirely too much.
gag was justified imo. i didn’t want things to escalate even more. invictus i’m sorry if you feel like you were wronged.
any use of racist remarks will be gagged/kicked first…then if it happens again the ban will occur. At least thats how I’m doing it.

The “3 strike rule” is more of a guideline than a real rule. CLs can revoke admin at any time, for any reason. Admins revoked in such a fashion may be appealed to a full executive council vote.
If an admin bans a player for reporting them TELL US so we can DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I catch an admin doing that and I’ll ban them on general principle.

Could you leave like a receipt and a reason for the deletion? While you may not think I was on topic, I thought I was posting on topic, and still don’t know why my post was deleted.
I do know that like yesterday the forums were down for a while. I forgot what the error was, but it may have been a reasoning factor in regards to the missing posts. I don’t want to jump to any conclusions
I wanna say it was an IRS Error, but that sounds kind of silly.

I didnt think about that….its a possibility i guess. Whenever the forums came back up after that, It said i had 2 new messages even though i had already read them.
