Potential Sponsors for Console Tournaments – Suggestion Thread

Since we’re growing, we need sponsorships to maintain growth and interest in the club. So, if you can think of any companies that would be able to give good potential prizes, post them here, links would be awesome too.

RedOctane requires a month or so prior to the event. So that’s the only reason I’m ruling them out. I will try Microsoft and Nintendo most like. Laying off of Sony since we don’t currently support any of their games or products.

All right, bumping this thread, and I’ll keep a list of prospects at the top. Shae, let me know if you contact any of the companies listed or any other ones. I don’t want us to seem like we’re harassing companies for sponsorships.

You guys can try Activision or Harmonix. They made the Guitar Hero games. Maybe Epic? BungieSoft? Just throwing ideas out there.

Sun Drop. They are generally good people. My uncle knows their owners personally. I will talk to him about it.

I like the idea of getting Nintendo as a sponsor. Have we thought about Turner Broadcasting? It may sound like that came of thin air, but they do own GameTap. Also, maybe Wal-Mart would be good; thats where I get a lot of my games.

hey, that actually wouldn’t be half bad. if wal-mart sponsors us then they may actually be more open to posting our flyers, as well

No seriously I can go to the bottling place over near Gastonia and my home town, last time I went there I asked them for some shirts and bottles to do a Sun Drop commercial for a project and they gave me twenty shirts and ten bottles for free. I mean thats pretty freaking bad *edited* I think, plus I love Sun Drop and if they sponsored us I would be ecstatic.
