guys i cant even get on the server sometimes

i’ll play on other servers and get <50 ping.

i just got a new comp and on my old one i was able to play on the server no problems.

i checked my netgraph3 and my loss and choke are both at 0.

i dont know what else to do.

i dontwanna have to find a new server.

I’ll come in with a high ping of 200+ and it drops to the teens within a minute, whats teh deal with that?

There is all sorts of *edited* going on with the sauce server…hopefully Liam can work this out…It is annoying for the people who don’t get kicked, and I’m sure it’s more annoying for the people that do get kicked…

You get 100 seconds after joining for your ping to drop to

Can we reconfigure the plugin to act like the Battlefield where it checks your ping at certain intervals and you get more than 1 chance for it to correct. Like have it check every 1 minute (after the grace period) and give a warning for high ping. After the third “warning” it kicks. That way if you have a spike it won’t automatically kick you from the server but if it’s genuinely a high ping it still kicks after a round or so.

that would be nice, b/c when my sis starts myspacing it, my ping jumps up high sometimes, but only for about a minute max, my ping is weird

It would be Bitey’s call but I think it’s definately worth a try, especially considering how often the server seems to spike now. Save the code so we can go back if it doesn’t work out.

Mani pings you every 5 seconds or so. It lets you manually decide how many high pings a client gets before they are kicked. I believe it was set to 9 or something like that. May want to think about gearing it close to what mani was set up for, I know the config files are still there.

It pings you every 5 seconds and allows you 20 checks to get your ping under control.

It needs to be done asap. I played for about 2 hours today and watch people with 30 pings get kicked nonstop. It’s killing server pop.

If it’s not working right why not turn it off until it’s fixed?
