ParticipantIf I end up working in a cubicle at the age of 30, I will more than likely kill myself.
Wow, that was pretty dark…

ParticipantAm I the only one here that didn’t mind working in a cube?

Participanthonestly i dont mind it at all… i used to mind it when i was 16, but i grew to love the ability to hide away and get work done
now in that office where they are 3ft walls and not full cubicles i might go insane lol too many distractions

ParticipantOnly problem I had with cubes was the wanderers. They were always distracting me with oddball conversation topics and once they start rambling there’s no easy way to ask them to *edited* off.

ParticipantI think my dream job is one where I can get away with the occaisional off-color joke and nobody *edited*es about gender-based pronouns. That pretty much eliminates the whole corporate scene right there.

Yes I’m talking about cubicals. They’re really not that bad if you work in a quiet office and keep a pair of headphones for when things get noisy.

Participantwhen i worked at DE, i was in a open cube, (low walls) it was set up just like that video on the top. so you can still talk to people and ask questions. As far as the movie office space type cubes,, no way would i do that. EVER. idk if it was a 6figure job. Its just not mEE. I just feel like if i was in a cube, i’m working as a number not a person. And i would not have any aspiration to come to work. Your working the rest of your life. You better dame well like everything about that place.

The one I worked in was smaller and almost everyone knew everyone else so the taller walls really didn’t matter. Plus people would talk to their neighbors without getting up.
The asperation to go to work was that I enjoyed doing my job. I actually had alot of fun because they would give me a workload and cut me lose to do it when/as I pleased. If I got 3 jobs in Mooresville, 2 in Kannapolis, and 4 in Charlotte I could pick and choose which to do on what day of the week. Maybe it’s just having a real job, idk, but enjoying my job in a cube beats being miserable in more open environments.
