I know their games lately have been pretty lame but overall I think the gaming community needs need4speed!

ParticipantI think it’s about time EA cut some of the weaker games, the problem is they won’t in turn focus on making the good games better. There are so many good series that have been cut in the last five years, primarily by Microsoft and EA, that it’s really becoming ridiculous.

Shares of video game maker Electronic Arts (ERTS, news, msgs) tumbled $3.08, or 15.9%, to $16.27 in midday trading after the company late Tuesday warned that fiscal 2009 revenue and earnings will come in below a previous forecast.Analysts had expected EA to earn $1.16 per share for 2009, on sales of $5.06 billion.
The company said it does not plan to update its guidance before February 2009, when it will report its fiscal-third-quarter results.
“We are disappointed that our holiday slate is not meeting our sales expectations,” EA Chief Executive John Riccitiello said in a statement. “Given this performance and the uncertain economic environment, we are taking steps to reduce our cost structure and improve the profitability of our business.”
Be careful if you buy any EA games in the future. They already have a bad habit of halfassing and not finishing games, even when they were turning huge profits. BUYERS BEWARE!

ParticipantNeed For Speed hasnt been Need For Speed in some time. The new games are nifty and all (despite their lame *edited* stories) but there really doesnt need to be any more of them.
God, I still remember playing the very first one. That was a fun game.

ParticipantI’m happy that EA picked up Brutal Legend. I am really looking forward to that game (Tim Schafer, creator of Psychonauts, Heavy Metal?)

ParticipantEA has rights to System Shock and for that reason I hope that System Shock 3 never comes to be.
