Kuros tried, but we couldn’t get the grand room the week after the 16th (open house…) and after that is Spring Break. So basically if we moved it back, the lans would be back to back…
i propose 3/8 or 3/15
then 4/19 or 4/26
also do it on reading day and/or advising day prb not the best idea though
and if we cant get the grandroom then,, we can move it into the cats den

Networking will be tricky but the fkn crib is up their.. dont thing its going to be that big of a deal. this is easily possible..

I’m more than interested in this idea, and so were some higher ups actually. This is something the (new?) president can decide with the new exec council. And yes I do plan to run again.
Will there be enough space tho’? Seems like an issue with the grandroom is that we were running out of it.
isn’t there a cafeteria or a gym? those are usually the biggest rooms in a school. dunno about college but i’d figure its the same.
People eat in the cafeteria and people play basketball in the gym all day on Saturdays. It would be impossible to setup our stuff there.

errrggghhh..easily possible.. just b/c things are typically open doest be we cant reserve the space.
Dice you serious, the cafeteria? Not dodson or the UC it would be distracting for one among other things.
distracting? do i want to know what goes on in the cafeterias of your school? but yea whats there to be distracted from. if people wanna play they will play. any room will have something distracting. like hot girls(or guys) walkin down the hall. or a really sexy new keyboard from a players computer, for you nerds =)

I’m all for expanding but it is extremely unlikely that they will surrender a day’s worth of profit (be it little at best) so that we can do this. As for the power, there are two types of high-amp plugs and I don’t think the kitchen equipment use the 3-prong like the power box does. If they don’t you can forget this right now because they sure as aren’t going to install one just for us. Phase-wise, the powerbox only runs on single phase. I doubt if the university owns anything that would require all 3 phases of power.
I’m not mad that I lost Historian. These things happen. I’m just glad to be involved with the club.
It’s like I lost to someone who didn’t even have an acount on the forums. I’d have to be extremely small minded to hold some sort of grudge.
