I believe that MasterP should be made council leader for the Counter Strike: Source server because he really wants it and has made many valuable contributions to the club. MasterP comes to every meeting and gets off of work early to do so. Kip also comes early to help setup every LAN ever since I was president and even some before. His competition has never been to a meeting and it took over a year for this person to make a 15 minute appearance at a LAN. Kip has quite a bit of server experience with TAG, and because he goes to meeting will be available for votes and opinions on LAN settings for CSS. I think he’s the strongest candidate that we have and I believe he should be named Council Leader.
I agree.
PLUS he works for IT here on campus, which is a plus. I would like to see him get some recognition for the work that he does even if not everyone sees it; he is a great asset to the club.

Dice is a good candidate, but he is graduating, so, he shouldn’t get it, also, he doesn’t want it..Kip is a good candidate because he rocks and comes to lan events and meetings..just curious as to how much longer he has before finishing up school..Hannah is active in the server and I think has more time until graduating compared to Kip..they all look good to me..heh…LOOTOOL!
personally I don’t see him on nearly enough to be a cl, *hoping if he got the pos. that’d change. But I’d say that’d be an issue with me.

21 hours since jan? I dunno, that’s just my 2c… Everything else is good and I agree he is constantly active on the forums. I just see him more as a 1.6 player cause I never see him on.

2 Things:
a) MasterP does not play 1.6
2) You don’t have to play the game all the time to be a CL… Being active on the forums and IRC is much more important because you have to be able to change things as the community sees fit (this does not require playing the game). Also I think MasterP has some good ideas with maybe starting some additional CSS servers(gungame? zombie?) to add to the arsenol.

people need a voice to talk to,, poll the community “who is masterp” knowone will know him. Who to go to about questions and changes?
he is the best can cannadet if he will play for at least 3-5hr’s a week. only then kip has my vote.
Other wise i’d rather have hannaha that doesent know squat about squat (nothing personal) but she is very active in the server, the community knows her, and the changes that need to be made are very Minute, so its will be nothing for her to learn. 10min cram session and she’s just as qualified as kip fo the changes that need to be made.
is kip even goign to watch demos? if he doesent have time to play?
If you can be active in the forums, why cant you be active in game?
and he has been playing CS:S more lately; in fact according to steam 15.1 hours in the last 2 weeks.
Honestly, lets not bicker. I think that there are pluses and minuses to whoever is CL and Kip is a great guy and knows quite a lot. I have a lot of respect for him but I agree with Dice. Get some activity in the server and I’ll def give my vote.
(I know he’s been playing a lot lately. Just need to continue playing. :-P)I hadn’t planned on posting in this but a defense on some of this is warranted.

Dice, I believe that meets your requirements. As for the other stuff, I have posted demos for a potential ban and so far have gotten almost no feedback on them. It seems pointless to ask if I would take the time to watch demos considering the fact I’m the only one to post any in the past month. It takes 10 minutes to go through the forums, to stay active in the game it takes 2-4 hours. As stated above, that’s just not something you’re going to get from an EE this time of the school year.

this should have been taken care at the cookout, as this is hard to chat about in the forums w/o people getting upset from thoughtfull comments from “the over view”

Hey, your showing up, thats all that matters
. When I said that, I meant as long as you keep continuing to play even if its an hour a week. Just so the in-game community sees ya. Don’t get me wrong I fully understand that I need to play more but this is just a bad time for everyone. Next week won’t be much better either with federal jury duty. Eventually I’m going to get freetime and should be able to play every day.

slightly offtopic, sort of, but…
As fun as new servers would be, I think they have been tried, and have not worked…
Gungame was tried, slight interest was shown initially, but eventually died off…
Someone else posted examples of good servers going bad from multiple servers popping up, the iue5 server to be exact. This server used to be like WCU, packed all the time, then they added a gungame server, and the regular source server is now empty, and the gungame is not full that often if I do recall…
But I am totally not opposed to a gungame/zombie/surf server, they is all phunz…
Honestly I think the biggest task at hand should be keeping the server populated with regulars during the summer…As I know I will not be as active in the game during the summer, mostly only at nights here in about 2 weeks…

Hey, maybe everybody in the jury but you will think the defendant is guilty, and you’ll spend several days trying to convince the others that they are wrong, and everybody will get mad at you, but you’ll eventually get them on your side. It happened to Fonzie, Felix Unger, and I think Urkel
