Multiplayer has always been a form of function to show who is better and have fun while doing it. And generally, I’ve had fun at all competitive tournaments I’ve been to. All the competitive institutions do is reward the top player who shows up that day and wins. These institutions foster their own communities, some quite massive, but very similar to our own in many respects. And if you want to talk about cheapness? I find it cheap that people use shotguns in Snowbound. But it doesn’t stop me from playing that map. In fact, it makes me use the same tactics I appall just to win. But, at the same time, I realize it is a very legitimate strategy because the structure of the map forces an easy set-up that way. But, whatever. People are entitled to their own opinions. But the reasons why some of the executive staff choose to use the same or similar settings as that of top tier competitive gaming leagues and communities is for the reason I stated earlier. I can breakdown the argument for Halo very much so, just as Matt has at least pointed out a few reasons, and probably could find several more.

There is one guy here who has repeatedly came up to my dorm just to brag and beat Matt and I at the game, but I’m not going to plaster his name on this forum because that’s just unnecessary.So what if they’re bragging about winning money? Do you think that means they really are? They brag because they have nothing better to do here. If someone randomly shows up at this school who is fairly well at the game, they flock over to that person. If they were “pros” like they claimed to be, they wouldn’t even show up at the LANs because they’d be in actual ranked tournaments.
The best thing to do is just to have fun and simply ignore those kinds of people. I know braggarts are really annoying and all, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s more fun just to take pleasure in the fact that they’re making a good time into a stupid competition to prove themselves to people who couldn’t care less.
Oh Lawd, I hope you’re not talking about me…I found Matt because I wanted to play smash and have friends…any “bragging” is satirical. I’m no pro, and you even said there are no pros at the lan. I’m a competitive player. I win a bit of money sometimes, but the pros would destroy me. For the record, people here have called me a “pro” but I’ve never said that about myself. Also, I loved playing you guys because you’re probably the best here, not because I have some crazy ego or something…there are plenty of people I could find to beat if that were true. I play you guys because you’re you, not because of Smash. Sorry if you thought/think? I’m a douche because I joke around sometimes… There’s a difference between kneeing someone and saying “ahhh, i’m so good!” as a jest and actually being an *edited*.
What the crap? This is late. And I would imagine it would be settled since Captain Falcon is playing Brawl with me right now…
