L4D2 Demo goes live Tuesday

[MasterP]

Preload and prepare for epic.

[Phonetically Phamous (dice]

is the demo released to pre-load now, or the pre-load is open tuesday?

[MasterP]

Preload is open now. The demo should be at the bottom of your list of games.

It doesn’t tell you the size but it’s 2.7GB. Also, the files are encryted so you can’t play it or watch the videos.

Note this is ONLY for those who pre-ordered. Everyone else has to wait a few weeks to play.

[Fascist Flakes (Jagr)]

Shae and I have it preloaded and preordered, looking forward to playing

[Fascist Flakes (Jagr)]

12:20 and no demo sigh valve.

[rcon_l@nce]

I thought the same thing and then I realized…

Well, it’s not Tuesday PST =)

Don’t worry, there will be plenty of opportunity to play tomorrow =P

[Fascist Flakes (Jagr)]

And nope, 3 AM and nothing .

Apparently this tells you when it’ll release on your current time zone, just load it and refresh.. it’ll be the green time next to L4D: http://steamcommunity.com/games/L4D2/events/55327883716288366

[Phonetically Phamous (dice]

i dont understand the big deal.. ok you get to pre load it… but when can you actually play the demo FFS?

[MasterP]

Someone found the Valve employee steamgroup and a good number of them are already playing it.

I’m sure they’re just “testing” it.

I’m sure they’re just douchebags.

Better.

[Phonetically Phamous (dice]

douchebags b/c they just spent the last year developing a game you want to play or douchbags b/c they are getting rid of some of the glitches you like to exploit?

[MasterP]

No one expects a perfect game. They should go ahead and release it and patch it up in the next few days. Unless they’re major bugs they shouldn’t matter but if they’re major bugs they wouldn’t have them fixed for a few days anyway.

I’m beginning to think that these guys are complete *edited*ing retards in the most true sense of the word. 2 hours later…14 hours later…2 more hours…1 more hour. *edited*ing christ, just *edited*ing hit the button already YOU INCOMPETENT PRICKS!!!

[MasterP]

So apparently the demo is awesome.

WCU Gaming will be providing at least 1 dedicated server for the demo, hopefully more.

[Falcon]

I was about to call this TF2 2.0 took ’em long enough to release it

[Phonetically Phamous (dice]

yeah kinda ironic their falcon. Everyone complains that L4D2 came out so early, but when it released a day late everyone is like wtf whys is it not out already. Steam just played everyone. AHAHAHAHAH

[Ripc_Scarolina]

demo is ok

[Phonetically Phamous (dice]

apparently its not that great. I mean when L4D came out everyone one my list was playing the demo. I never see anyone in steam friends playing it other than the day it came out.
