ParticipantThere was some asian redneck guy on comedy central this morning, and he was *edited* funny.
Some really good comedians come from the last sand up or whatever that show is called. The little asian guy, and the guy with MS were hilarious.
Robin williams though, the greatest.

No– the greatest comedian of all time is Denis Leary.

ParticipantNah, I never found Denis Leary funny.
There was this one guy on Comedy Central that I liked… he used a guitar sometimes and would flip through pictures that he drew as he progressed through his jokes. Yea, idunno, but it was good stuff.

ParticipantThe guy with the guitar and pictures is hilarious, I can’t remember his name for the life of me though. I saw him at a comedy club near my house once.

I did nothing but laugh that entire movie.
Other than those, 300 was awesome, as was Spiderman 3, POTC3, and Shrek 3 (Shrek wasn’t as good as the last two).
I’m patiently waiting for Batman: The Dark Knight, and Superman Returns 2.

Anyone else have any movie they can’t wait to see?
June 5, 2007 at 6:26 pm #21676Fascist Flakes (Jagr)
ParticipantSpiderman 3 was a let-down to me. Pirates 3 was pretty good. I’m waiting for Transformers and the new Fantastic 4, but if it is anything like the first I’m walking out 1/2 way through.
June 5, 2007 at 6:44 pm #21679Liam
ParticipantI agree totally. Fantastic Four 1 sucked. It was…stupid. Spiderman 3 was more drama / soap-opera crap than it was anything else, but I felt it portrayed that part of Spiderman’s history well. *shrug*
June 5, 2007 at 7:40 pm #21680Kellum NUB
ParticipantI completely agree about Fantastic 4. The first one was utter crap.
Spiderman 3 though, I have to say I liked it. It had that comic book feel and it seemed like they just had fun with it. They tried cramming in a lot because, supposedly, it’s the last movie

Transformers and the next Harry Potter movies are the only other ones I’m looking forward to seeing this summer, unless there are some I’m forgetting.

I can’t say I enjoyed POTC3 that much, it was…slow in places and a bit disjointed overall.
I forgot all about Ghostrider. I think the movie was well done, though Nicholas Cage as the ‘Ghostrider’ was a bit farfetched. He does better in Drama / Action flicks. Comicbook adaptations seem to do better off using ‘unknown’ actors so that the studios can get an actor that actually looks like the comic book representation of who they are supposed to be. I mean….George Clooney as Batman? Sheesh. Val Kilmer did the best job in the old movies though Christian Bale nailed it on the head.
Harry Potter, Hopefully OOTP will be better than GoF. The last movie could have been so much better, though thats mostly the directors fault.

Though Tim Burton was a kick-*edited* director in relations to the first Batman vs the rest of that miserable flop of a series. (This excludes Batman Begins).

How old are you?
