    Hey guys. If you didnt hear, I was voted in as Alumni Advisor. I am honored and I believe it was a good desision but i was surprised. I know a lot of people are sore at me for my assertive attitude toward particular subjects and a lot of people didnt like that because my views didnt follow the main stream views of the club for the longest time. Dispite this, over the past 5 years I have done alot for the club wheather it was turning this club into a profitable organization, or just supply the lans with lots of my own equipment and time helping. The only thing that didnt play into my favor was being an engineering major and not having the time to devote to some of the more tedious tasks.

    I was surprised to see (or actually i wasnt) that I didnt get to be the playstation console leader. WTF, I thought you guys must hate me because I thought that it was kind of a no brainer to vote me in since i eat sleep and *edited* playstation lol.

    Then you guys voted me in as the allumni advisor and it was a landslide. I cant figure you guys out lol

    I do appriciate it guys even though Im confused about the whole situation. :)

    Just an FYI we are “NOT” a profitable organization. In fact we are just the opposite.

    We are a “Not-For-Profit” every cent we take in goes back into the club.

    Just wanted to make the clear for our contributing members which make donations and attend our events.

    and for the record i am glad someone thats around campus got this position. (even if it was josh)

    I would like to call into question the definition of alumni as it pertains to the alumni advisor.

    From merriam-webster

    Alumni:

    * Main Entry: alum·nus

    * Pronunciation: \ə-ˈləm-nəs\

    * Function: noun

    * Inflected Form(s): plural alum·ni \-ˌnī\

    * Etymology: Latin, foster son, pupil, from alere to nourish — more at old

    * Date: 1645

    1 : a person who has attended or has graduated from a particular school, college, or university

    2 : a person who is a former member, employee, contributor, or inmate

    The question I ask is since Josrocket is still a student at WCU (a graduate student), is he technically considered an alumni? I ask because clearly if josrocket looked up his records at the school, he would be listed as a graduate student, not an alumni. I’m not trying to stir the pot here, just get a clarification so we can be more specific in the club’s constitution.

    We could always make it so “alumni is defined as having received a degree from WCU” or something.
