While i was on the server today i saw alot of people using the jukebox plugin, and wanted to ask if you guys had any suggestions for more songs. All the executive admins have privledges to add songs to the server that will allow anyone who joins the server to play. You may also post on removing current unpopular songs here also.

The requirements for new songs.

1. They must be uncopyrighted songs. IE the author of those songs must allow them to be shared.

2. You must post a link from another site for us to download

3. Must have some valid proof that they are ‘Ok’ for us to host.

 

I would suggest sites like http://www.garageband.com/

 

If you wanted you can find these music files after downloading you could may look in your

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\youremail\counter-strike\cstrike\sound\jukebox\mp3

or similar directory folder.

 

This will not be used as a file sharing network and will not be tolerated as one. The music is for the use of promoting our gaming club cs 1.6 server

ahahahaha, Dont think anyone’s going to join our server just to listen to the jukebox

 

 

 

but the songs that are on there now are great!

Well his statement must be stated to show that the gaming club is not for illegal sharing. If you think the songs on it now are great, why wouldnt someone connect to the server because we have an awesome jukebox and some awesome players. Of course we will have use the lan event to find those awesome players.

Haven’t been able to find it by searching for lyrics.

You can find the actual .mp3 of that song in your cstrike/sound/jukebox/mp3 folder.

The band that plays and owns the song are really good friends of mine. The singer Daniel is a friend of mine for a very long time. I watched them preform the other night. I am currently working on their site, but until that gets up and our you can search for some of their songs on garageband.com just search for ‘Stronghold’ . They have a myspace also http://www.myspace.com/strongholdrocks so check them out and i will have their site up shortly and you guys can buy a cd.

If we take a .mp3 and dump it into our ‘cstrike/sound/jukebox/mp3 folder’ will it come up and play ingame?

try it, im not sure. Its a plugin on the server, but it plays on your computer. :-/

however i do know that you can put them in your cstrike folder and play them to your self ingame, But who doesnt use itunes?

:/ nope in jukebox it dident work.. only the orgional 4 songs came up…

 

 

and what are you saying about itunes? you half to have the song in the cstrike folder??? why? couldent you just play itunes as a background program, stright from your libary?

thats what i was talking about. I know there is a way to play songs in game using its default media player.
