Is it me?

Well i like to play with the command cl_autowepswitch 1.

 

In the console, it has NO SUCH thing.

 

Now every time i want to do it i have to go to, options, Advanced.. and uncheck “auto switch to picked up weapons.”

 

Before i just typed in command once and it worked.. Does it work for other people?

 

Should i reinstall cs?

yea its weird that you need to put a “_” before “cl”

i didnt know that either until couple years ago

Is it better without auto-switching I kinda like it. Why do you guys do it? Except for the obvious reason of not auto-switching.

Say you have a deagle but no other gun. You are running around and you come up to an enemy and OH $#!T I RAN OVER ANOTHER PERSON’S GUN NOW ITS SWITCHING TO IT and now you are dead. If you had auto switch off you could have shot him with your deagle instead of waiting for your guy to pick up the mp5 with no ammo.

This is the cause for a death at every LAN b/c it always re-enables itself on my copy of 1.6 and I never remember to double-check it.

i hate when that happens =/ but when i enable it, i’ll run over a weapon and go “huh.. where’s my rifle?”

 

i guess it takes time to adjust heh

I kinda like to run with my glock out and run over that ak and shoot the hell out of someone. Thank you I understand your reasoning now though.
