ParticipantSup.
I’m in the market for a new keyboard. Something that looks cool.
I don’t want it to be HUGE….so lets keep the G11/G15/G19 out of the suggestion box.
The most important thing here is I don’t want something that comes with software/drivers required to run extra features (such as programmable keys).
To give an example of what I’m into, here is what I had before:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823175003
and here is what I’ve had my eye on for its replacement:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126043
The one thing these 2 have in common is they are low profile, and under 100$.
Low profile keys isn’t an absolute necessity. I don’t want something “everyone else has” (such as your basic logitech usb keyboard). I don’t want something huge, and I don’t wanna have to install drivers/software to make extra features work. Any suggestions?

Read original post. G11 = Huge, and requires drivers/extra software to enable additional features.

G11.
Btw it runs fine on stock Win7 drivers.
If you want to pay $70 for a POS with no features then by all means but you’re better off paying the money and getting a nice keyboard for it.

To be perfectly honest, the extra buttons on the G11 don’t appeal to me. I don’t see myself having any use for them.

Then don’t use them.
I don’t. Never have.
I bought it because it’s extremely easy to type on, has media keys, and every key is backlit.
