Tea Leaf Green is coming to the south in April, they are good show, 4 man band, Trevor Garrod keyboardist and lead singer on most songs and writer of just about all of them is brilliant and i’d say on par with Bobby Dylan, they put on a good performance, good fun for everyone…check out more on their website, there are dates that i won’t be listing that are in Tennessee and Virginia and i think one in altanta. Also most of their shows are on livemusic.archive and their site links to music to, i’d suggest downloading some to get a feel, but don’t listen the day before a show (don’t do this with any band) cause it won’t be the same, any show on 9-29 is awesome, and the 1-20-2005 Cafe Nord show is ridiculous, with an awesome cover of “The night they drove old dixie down”.
CHEAP TOO i almost forgot
like 12 bucks, *edited* that’s cheap, that’s cheaper than staying in man!
Shows
April 30th Raleigh Lincoln Theatre ( I WILL BE THERE, without fail, i’ve biked there before, i’ll run if i must, but it’d like to meet some of you, maye : P)
May 1st Charlotte NC Neighborhood Theatre (i might be there, if one of my friend is is going, and knowing them, they will, but… things to happen)
May 2nd Charleston SC The Pour House
May 3rd Altanta GA Variety Playhouse
i’d give these guys a shot, it’s good music and honestly if you go and don’t enjoy any of the songs they played, you did something wrong
i have 3…but they’ve only had one real commercial release, you can get their stuff for free, it’s from shows but the quality is still pretty good, normally i’d share it, but it’s a small band, and these guys have been doing this for a while, but a very good, and i’d like them to get some money from it.
their album, it should be in a local record shop, it is here in Raleigh, so it should be wherever there is a music store, is called “Taught To be Proud” and it is really good, it’s also available on iTunes i think…
