Boring comic. Apparently a nifty browser.
What do you guys think?

ParticipantIt’s downloadable now for those interested in giving it a spin. I’m going to download it and fiddle with it in the morn.

ParticipantSo, it’s actually not that bad. At least it’s not as automatically repulsive as I found IE7.
Honestly, it feels like a Firefox skin so far. Though I can tell it’s a bit faster.

That’s a very silly article – nothing in the EULA claims ownership for Google: only rights. How are Google supposed to display, for example, blog entries if you don’t give them the right to? That’s just the knee-jerk reaction of some fool who doesn’t understand copyright law.
eather way, i read somewhere google was going to remove it shortly
PS: my smiley’s are ghoun

ParticipantThey’re (Smilies) all there, and that EULA is pretty point blank if you can understand legalese. It basically says that if you type something over their browser, they can take that data, change it however they want, and repost it without your permission.

ParticipantThis whole computer fad will never catch on.
Fools.
September 3, 2008 at 10:52 pm #55275MasterP
ParticipantI do find interesting that Google would throw something like that in the EULA. As much time as they put into it they had to have known about the possessiveness of the license agreement. I have to wonder if that was put there on purpose, if you’ve been keeping up with some of the underhanded stuff Google’s been doing the last year or two it really shouldn’t surprise you.
September 4, 2008 at 9:34 am #55286Phonetically Phamous (dice
Participantwell i admit, i have never read any EULA for any type of software i have ever used. and not sure if i will. when it comes down to like a car/house/loan or any other type of money skeem, i’ll read the fine print first
September 4, 2008 at 10:55 am #55288MasterP
ParticipantIf you were to read them it would surprise you at just how much control over the software they maintain after you purchase it. Valve and EA are really bad about this. This maintained control is why I try to never let a 3rd party program (Steam, EA Link) control my games unless there is no other alternative.

Participantyeah, master p is right on this. from what i heard a while ago, and i’m assuming this is why google put something like that in the EULA, they have been working with they FBI on several different cases, and were being sued over invasion of privacy when they gave people’s search records to the FBI and whatnot. interesting stuff

ParticipantI like it. It’s simple and easy to use. I just installed it, I’ll give it sometime before I make a call on whether or not I like it more than Firefox though.
But obviously GC > IE7 L!O!L!O!L!OL!L!
