ParticipantJust to let you guys know, they have made Gears of War for the PC so if you have a better than average computer and don’t wanna spend 300+ dollars on a 360 you should definitely check this out. This game is loads of fun and the great thing about it is you don’t have to pay for a live account to play with other people online. (This is just for PC, X-box users have to pay, lol) The game is fun and has moderate replay value but the real fun is the online multi play. The amount of hours you’ll spend playing online is ridiculous. So if you have an extra 50 bucks you should pick this game up.

ParticipantI played it on the PC over winter break. Twice actually.
I thought it was a lot of fun, especially the Brumak chapter they added. It has some bugs and other issues that the 360 version didnt have, but overall I liked it. And honestly, it was harder on my computer at times than Crysis was!

ParticipantThe harder the better right? I don’t know about you but I like challenging games, not ones that I can easily go through with very little trouble. As far as bugs go every game has bugs, and the Gears of War for the 360 is no different.
I don’t know if you’ve heard of Crab Walking and Kung Fu Flipping but those are two very anyone glitches that players do when playing online.

ParticipantWell, I only played campaign so the glitches I saw came from there. And almost all had to do with the NPCs not following orders, not following Marcus, just running around aimlessly and refusing to fight, or running at an enemy only to die without doing a thing despite orders.
The only other glitches involved me glitching up onto things on accident and not being able to move and having to restart a level. Usually only minor annoyances, but eh.
The difficulty factor was nice though. I played once on Casual because I wasnt sure if it’d be harder than the 360 version. It wasnt. Then bumped it up to hardcore, which proved a nice challenge, especially since I’d never played hardcore alone. Only co-op.

ParticipantYa playing solo is a whole different story. You have to be a hell of a lot more careful and just can’t Leroy Jenkins it. But I haven’t experienced any of the bugs you talked about other than the stupid A.I. of the NPC’s. Maybe the patched it?

ParticipantNot for me.

I played unpatched I’m fairly sure. Maybe I just had some bad luck.
