ParticipantSo, as Hollywood Maniac and his dangly farts can tell you, I pulled an allnighter so that I could pre enroll for my fall 09 classes.
My college uses this crappy *edited* program made by peoplesoft that is basically a rainbow that a magic dragon *edited* out of its *edited*. It looks nice, but its a piece of *edited*.
So, at 7am, I’m sitting here, wide awake, with my *edited* feeling like *edited* because its been sat on for 10 hours…
And peoplesoft just crashed on me.

Participantdude we use peoplesoft too, it does look nice and can map *edited* out for you but thats all it does maps *edited* out, the program was 1.3mil or 2.3 mil and its a piece of *edited*m, just get a bunch of students together who code and patent the program for them for 1mil and give them free rides it would solve everything.

ParticipantYeah, peoplesoft is a piece of crap. But personally, I think they use it because it sucks so much, so that it is harder for people to get placements in classes(so that enrollment gets spread out more evenly).
Seriously, Schedulizer is so much better. If only it could actually let you pick courses, etc…

Participantdont sweat it man.
I usually never ever ever enroll during pre-registration.
I either wait till regular registration time, or I’ll pop my head into the assistant deans office. Going over the heads of the advisors will ensure you get your classes. My advisors hate me, because whenever they give me a no answer, I just go over to their boss (assistant dean), and he works his magic. The key is not taking no for an answer. We spend way to much money to get rejected from courses.

ParticipantYeah, that usually works, except I was really just concerned about this one class that I had to enroll in, Psych 101, which usually has, I believe 1,300 students enrolled. Also, the discussion section for that class is capped at 150 <.<
