FRAME RATES?

HEHE, everyone post your frame rates in CS:S!! Lowest gets a cookie , highest gets a hug

I can run about 150, it should prob drop severely when I put my new monitor in with like 2x the res

Mine idles about 36.

I average on my laptop close to 180 or so. My desktop I’m having to tweak settings on, but its around 40-45, which is odd because its a 1gb video card. I think somethings screwy with my drivers somewhere, or maybe its the high resolution I’m running. *shrug*

Mine is in the ~30-60 range, not *too* bad for a 2 year old card I think >.

Personally , I get bizarre average of 250 =) but the max I hit is 279.99 FPS so meh, tis ok with me

I get 250 average on certain maps otherwise 200-150 on some maps so meh maybe not always 250

Is that at 400×300 with everything off? I wonder what I’d get at that resolution. hehehe

Umm.. my res is 1680x1050x60 Hz so it’s much harder to get these framerates… I probably could hit 250 @ 1280×1024 easier so meh I’m happy with my frame rates

i run anywhere from single digits to 50’s. but average in a firefight is around 15-20.

I loaded up a set of new drivers on my laptop and reset my resolution today to 2048×1200 widescreen and I was pushing 80fps during firefights.

 

I think I need to have a “chat” with my desktop being as its sucking right now and its a heavier processor, more memory, and better video card. Heh.

hAHA I wish I could get 2048×1200 (XD my monitor doesn’t like that resolution) but if i could get get it to that resolution i’ll probably be dropping 100 FPS.

 

Anyways, people should post their framerates, it’s always interesting to see those with less than 40 FPS (I feel sorry for them though).

Well, I’ve got a 17″ HD Widescreen on my laptop and a 20″ HD Widescreen on my desktop at home, so the widescreen does a good job for me, and I love the 2048×1200

you should have seen my old setup when i played dod a lot. tnt2 32mb card, i’d get 12 frames and play in clan matches. and i’d usually come out on top with something like 40:15 or so.

That’s not source though. I could get 9 zillion fps in doom 1.

If that’s HL or TFC (which is based on the HL engine) sure, you’ll get awesome FPS.

CS:S is based on the HL2 engine.

 

I may be wrong though.

if you can get 300+ in DoD:S then you’ve got a good setup. CS has puny textures and not lots of random *edited* that sucks up resources.
