ParticipantWell if im not mistaken, Im pretty sure the top 3 attended games at the LAN last semester was:
Brawl (LONG TIME, like 3 to 4 FREAKN HOURS lol)
BlazBlue(About 1 hour, 1 1/2 hours at the most)
Halo(About 2 to 3 hours)
I may be a tad off on the numbers (this is also taking overlap into consideration) but Im pretty confident that these three games were our top 3.
I know thier is some BlazBlue hate on these forums but honestly guys (and gals), it is popular as hell on campus.

Participantand with Reach coming out soon, Im assuming that game is going to be a shoe in for the LAN

ParticipantNCSU held a launch party for ODST and it was pretty successful. Idk if you can get ahold of enough copies on launch day (Raleigh has walmarts every *edited* where) but if you can that’d be a great way to get everyone excited for the LAN.
The UC Multipurpose room is available after 5:30 that day too.

ParticipantYea, Ill probably book the MP Room that weekend to help promote it. I will of course need the help of people like Gees, Freezer, and Casey since I only know one or two other people with 360s that plan on getting it.

Participant@ Dustin, I have no clue what all the BC2 jargin you are spewin there, lol. I’m cool with a new server, but like I said, server talk is new to me.
Sit down with me sometime and explain what it is you want to do, and how to implement it. (I’m a pretty techy guy myself, so it shouldnt be to hard, I just new an overview really). Between me, you, and who ever the PC VP come tomorrow night is, we will get it worked out

ParticipantOh, about IRC or team speak, never used team speak myself (im more of a skype man myself), but I’m sure we can work something out. What is the purpose of this, simply to see how the meeting is going? If thats the case, I propose team speak or skype. That way we dont have one individual typing the meeting up furiously over in the corner, and less likely to have something miss “heard”.
Lemme know what ya think guys. Busy day tomorrow, so the quicker the answer the better XD
Oh, fliers were not put up for the meeting btw. I wasnt able to get all of that worked out, and frankly I feel the emailing I did earlier, and word of mouth should suffice (I hope).

Participantoh, and @ Bitey, I know what ya mean about the drama. Personally, I knew I had alot of school crap headed my way, so I chose to get the drama delt with ASAP, before school hit (which it already has sadly….).
I personally find its easier for me to get something done right off the bat then have it linger over me for awhile. But yeah, I believe the drama is solved for the most part. If it had been any worse I would have just dropped it, but luckily sunny skies are in view

ParticipantWell since I won’t be able to attend the meeting (or at least not for very long, still don’t know if I’ll be there at all) but still would like to be considered a member and since I am currently on campus as a student I was hoping to be able to log in and partake in the meeting over a conference call or teamspeak or something, including the ability to vote >
Also yeah, Blazblue and Brawl take forever to run simply because of the amount of people and even the consoles. I don’t hate the game and actually own a copy of Calamity Trigger, just can’t stand playing it 24/7, haha. I’ll be able to bring my copy and once I get my financial aid to buy Continuum Shift, that as well haha. When Halo: Reach comes out it would be AMAZING to have a semi-launch party for it, maybe even getting the multipurpose room for it in the UC or something over a weekend if we’re able to, since it will ONLY feature Halo: Reach. After Reach launches we can have tournaments and such for it later of course, and that will take a while as well. Halo 3 should still draw a decent crowd, hopefully, but I feel as though people may or may not be playing a ton of Halo and MW2 as they are waiting on Reach and Black Ops, respectively. Then again I could be completely wrong and people are playing the hell out of both games in anticipation, rofl.

ParticipantSo has a mass email not been sent out?? I usually get one…
September 2, 2010 at 12:48 pm #104807Tallgeese
ParticipantAs far as a mass email, I have currently dont know how to get ahold of the addresses, the one I’m referring to is an email I sent out to those who attended the catfair. Over the following weeks, I am going to construct a concrete member list, with 920 numbers, and email addresses. If anyone needs to be on the list, or knows how to get more students or previous lists with similar info, please help me out. I would GREATLY appreciate it!

ParticipantThe club used to have a club e-mail address that you should have access to. If you ask one of the Root Admins or ex-presidents they should be able to tell you how to access it and the info to access it.

ParticipantAny mass emails should be sent using either the official club email account or the forum’s mass email system.
Hit up me or any of the other root admins for details on how to use either.
