If Obama wins I think I’ll just skip school tomorrow. Maybe I’ll pick flowers or something. Pretend I’m in another country.

Where you gonna go? Most other countries have more socialists tendencies than we do.

Also, I love how every person I’ve talked to who voted for McCain now says they are leaving the country. That sure is some patriotism you have. I bent over and took Bush up the *edited* for 8 years. Time for change.

And you forget all the liberals who promised to leave? I’m still waiting for Alec Baldwin to move to Canada as promised but quit holding my breath a while back…

I call fail on all of you that think Barack Obama will be running the country…

Hail emperor Pelosi. That’s what really happened last night.

And yes even though I voted for McCain I will support our new administration come January 20th. Until then I can (and will) *edited* and moan all I want.

Kap: It was a joke. Laugh it up. I didn’t even say I was going anywhere.

McCain was never a good presidential candidate. He ran a terrible campaign and was unable to appeal to his own conservative base. Further, he represented a disastrous trend of Republicans trying to appeal to the left. It’s not exactly a shock he lost.

Oh, well. At least Franken lost.

It’s been that way from that start because democrats and independents picked the Republican candidate. When you know they’re going to switch back over and vote for the democrat you had to know how well that was going to work out. Republicans subsequently tried to pick the democrat candidate but they threatened to punish us for “screwing with the political process” so most stopped.

Yes, lets all follow our new leader who promises “change”, “hope”, and “a new dawn”. Didn’t they love Hitler and Stalin with the same blindness? Oh wait, we all know those were “bad guys” so that must be different than this. Socialism is socialism and no matter who or how it’s presented or recieved, the result is always the same.

Well at least *edited* marriage is illegal again in the capitol of liberalism. That is of course until the next activist judge decides the popular vote doesn’t matter and overturns it.

technically, everyone loved Stalin until the great purge, after that, they just feared him.

So who is interested to see who Bush will pardon this year? That should be some epic good fun. I’m also gonna “BLINDLY” support obama until he *edited*s up, them im gonna do the American thing and just complain about everything. :)

Got a good reason why you won’t respect him? As far as I can tell he hasn’t done anything to merit such a negative attitude.

That’s the point, he hasn’t done ANYTHING. Period. Most people elected president have years of gubernatorial or congressional experience, all Obama has is 2 years in congress and 2 years campaigning. He’s a wheeling-dealing salesman just like all the other people who sell things over infomercials.

If you really want to know how Obama works, go look at how he got elected to the Illinois legislature. Obama protested the signatures on nomination petitions to a closed door election board meeting until none of his rivals had enough signatures to be on the ballot. Apparently any signature that was printed or not collected by a correctly registered party official was thrown out, eliminating thousands of democrats from the nomination process. Most of the signatures removed were legitimate. The Michigan and Florida ballots in the 2008 primaries were supposed to be thrown out but Obama “did not want to penalize his party’s primary voters on a technicality.” I guess if you’re Obama you get to screw the voters on a technicality when it hurts you and not when it helps.

He talks about leveling the playing field but his career is built on clearing it.

Clearing the playing field was a smart move. I would have done the exact same thing. Also, have you ever considered that people might fake signatures or not get them through appropriate means?

He ran one of the best campaigns ever. His organizational skills are amazing, his ability to communicate is extremely effective, and the ideas himself or his aides come up with are actually good. His leadership qualities are excellent and when I look for a president, those are the qualities I look for. Naturally some of the things he said he wants to do will need to be tweaked but all in all he hasn’t done anything wrong. I think he has shown every quality I need to see to put someone in a leadership role. I think that was an innovative idea :).

At this point you are just nitpicking. Go back 8 years and relive the Bush presidency a few more times. At least this time there was actually a candidate I wanted to vote for. The last thing we needed was for McCain to get sick or die and have Palin run the country. Obama simply has more energy to get things done. Whether or not he succeeds is yet to be seen. I base my vote on the character of a man and Obama is everything I want in a president. My dad yells at me all the time for supporting him. I’ve heard it all and I still support him. I agree with his policies (well most of them!). I don’t ‘know’ but I ‘think’ Obama will make a great president. I do know that no matter what person was elected, I wouldn’t go around talking about how hes going to fail before he steps up to bat. That just seems wrong to me. I tried to like Bush and didn’t have a negative opinion until he made about 20 mistakes in a row.
