Yeah, they were hiring for a whole bunch of programmers who mostly had RTS experience last March I beleive. And well since Warcraft side of their market was performing perfectly, it was either an RTS Diablo(yeah *edited*ing right) or Starcraft 2. Blizzard doesnt like to branch away from series they know sell.

They were hiring lead designers and programmers who had experience with mmos and were interested in the diablo universe last I recall. I imagine their just now starting on the project. Starcraft 2 seems like it is quite a ways into devolopement. Hmmmm I wonder what they are up to, I can see the obvious problems with something like Diablo 3 competing with WOW.

how can diablo ever be a rts it was nothing like a rts game/ thats like saying cs is a mmorpg

A RTS became an MMORPG. (Warcraft)

 

If they were to make a Diablo RTS, it would possess elements of the Diablo realm/universe, not the mechanics.

 

Hell, they’re making a Halo RTS too. The games would come from the same universe, but not be exactly alike. Duhr.
