DKC Seizure Time

This is a video that was given out to Nintendo Power subscribers shortly before the release of Donkey Kong Country. It features all the shaky camerawork, superquick cuts, liberal use of static, and weird coloration its decade was so notorius for. Because it was originally recorded on VHS, the whole thing is sort of blurry. I dare you to watch this video for more than thirty seconds without squinting or looking away.

I wasn’t putting down DKC, I love those games. I was putting down this crappy video advertising the games. Man, that host was trying waaaaay too hard to look cool. It’s like he stepped right out of a Seattle heroine den.
