Dead Space

This is another game that slipped under my radar til Omegamerc brought it to my attention. It doesn’t appear to be the ‘holy *edited*’ horror that Doom 3 tried. Instead this seems to be more of a story + gameplay + omfg I’m in space fighting mutants.

 

One neat thing is that you have to shoot off the limbs of creatures to kill them and there are instances of 0 gravity but you can stick to ceilings/walls with magnetic boots and the camera reorients based on where your standing (ceiling or floor or wall). So much for headshots xD.

Funny. I thought it looked like Doom 3, only it wasnt going to suck.

It looks nothing like doom 3 x_X.

 

Watching the videos it looks like a 3rd person suspense thriller action game!

 

The 0 gravity zones seem like they could be a lot of fun. Having to shoot the aliens limbs off looked neat.

 

I think the only thing it has in common with Doom 3 is the fact that its supposed to be a bit scary. Although Doom 3 took that to an annoying extreme.

I told you it didn’t look or feel anything like Doom 3 when watching videos and such, but nooooo don’t believe me . Though admittedly a lot of the people who have written previews and reviews have stated that they were first expecting something similar to Doom 3.

 

Yeah, definitely want to try this out badly.

i love the idea that you have so shoot off the limbs to kill them… i really hope that it plays well so that it will be a good game that poses a whole different strategy from other shooters

I’ve watched the videos. I’ve watched the gameplay.

 

And it looks like Doom. And it has the same feel of Doom overall.

 

Except this has the potential to be good. Doom 3 wasnt.

Actually i have the game…and its one of the only few that i am playing a second time….Its an american made horror so it has non of that bs symbolism…it is extremly violent and gory…At times i would let a monster or device kill me just to see how i die…its entertaining to do that…Im currently trying to get all the trophies for it…It is worth the buy and it is a must buy

This game is amazing, I love it.

 

Everything is upgradable and the bosses are awesome.

It definately feels like doom, but you should play it with a controler.

This game feels weird when being played with a mouse, but feels GODLY with a controler.
