Creating Server

Hi,

 

I was trying to make a server for me and my friends to train etc, but im having problems . I make the server how i want it but i cant get the admin plugin to work. I downloaded “mani_admin_plugin_v1_1_0zh_cssource.zip” i go to “adminlist.txt” and add my steamid at the bottom like it says. then i go into the server i just made and go into the console and type “bind A admin” like it told me too, then close it and click “A” , notting happens all it dose is say unknown command. anyone know how to help me.? any other ways of making a server with admin plugin working.

Yup.

 

You have to install MetaMod and then install ManiMod.

Its’ pretty easy. Just read the directions.

For what its worth, there is an elite server here you can use to practice with. It’s usually empty.

i got it working but now i have another problem…. i get this error when ever i try to us a admin command “FCVAR_SERVER_CAN_EXECUTE prevented server running command: cmd” i dont understand what this means…..

 

and yes i know mani has a help forum but it dosent help me any.

I’d suggest installing version 1.2 instead of 1.1. I’ve used 1.2 and I seemed to get a lot less errors, it was beta when I used it but it still worked. That should do it, I know it’s a pain to reinstall it but whaddya gunna do.

iv tryed 1.2 befor 1.1 and i chould not fine the adminlist.txt file….

 

unless im just stupid and didnt find it

i just download the 1.2 and theres no adminlist.txt to add admins… do i us something else to add em?

You can just make your own Just an empty text file w/ the steamid’s in it, call it adminlist.txt. You can also add comments to remember who’s steamid is whos, like //Jesus then the id on the next line.

Thanks i got it . i downloaded 1.2 replased the old 1.1 fiiles and made my adminlist.txt… now i have to restarted all my settings though
