Back 2 School Battle

I have some exciting news for everyone! Dell is holding their own tournament for games where our school will compete against other schools across the nation. Games that will be played are World of Warcraft, CounterStrike:Source, Call of Duty 4, Guitar Hero 3, and Forza 2 Motor Sports. Prizes for these tournaments are HUGE so hurry and sign up as deadlines to register will be ending soon and I don’t want anyone interested to miss out. You must be signed up for the Campus Gaming League to participate in any of these tournaments so please sign up if you haven’t already, http://cgl.delluniversity.com/. Again this is only for current college students who are members of the gaming club.

 

WoW will be played in teams of 3 people on the PC, so if you know some people on campus that you would like to compete in a tournament in then you need to go on over to http://b2sb.cgl.delluniversity.com/cgl/?a=…ournamentid=443 and register your team, you MUST be signed up with the Campus Gaming League to participate in this tournament. Registration ends on Sept. 11th, and the tournament runs from Sept. 15th – Oct. 5th.

 

CS:S will be played in teams of 5 people on the PC, I know that we have many people on campus that play this game so get a team together and register yourselves to be in the tournament. You can register your team at http://cgl.delluniversity.com/b2sb_map/css, remember to do this soon registration ends on Sept. 18th, and the tournament will run from Sept. 29th – Oct. 5th.

 

CoD4 will be played in teams of 5 people on the PC, our own Dell Rep. Kenneth Ferris would like to participate on one of the teams for this tournament hopefully we will have more than one! Register your team at http://cgl.delluniversity.com/b2sb_map/cod4, registration ends on Sept. 25th, and the tournament will run from Sept. 22nd – Sept. 28th.

 

GH3 will be played by individual players only on the Xbox360, you can register yourself at http://cgl.delluniversity.com/b2sb_map/gh3, registration ends on Sept. 18th, and the tournament will run from Sept. 22nd – Sept. 28th.

 

Forza 2 Motor Sports will be played by individual players only on the Xbox360, you can register yourself at http://cgl.delluniversity.com/b2sb_map/forza2, registration ends on Sept. 25th, and the tournament will run from Sept. 29th – Oct. 5th.

 

All these tournaments sound very exciting and I am excited to see who will take the top prizes, this is a real tournament so I suggest picking at least one team to represent Western that has all of our best players on it, I also recommend practicing with your team and getting to know how each other plays. Use this thread to post about which teams you are interested in joining and contact each other about those teams, I will be bringing this up at the meeting as well, if you have any other questions post them up or bring them to the meeting.

 

Also I wanted to make sure everyone knew that when you register for CGL you must use your campus email.

 

Well everybody I hope we all do really well in the tournaments, also if anyone wants me to be on their team I am looking to be on a CS:S team and a CoD4 team, so let me know!

I might look into getting some elites into a team for CoD4. I’d like to get a group who average 3-4:1 ratios (my average) or better but idk if we can get that. Is Kuros still eligible?

 

I’ve played CSS competitively before and will not make that mistake again. Best of luck. If it’s anything like CAL you should get a kick out of the “sketchy” players.

On that note I had a 30 kill streak tonight with a SAW. Actually only the first 15 or so was a SAW, the second 10 was a RPD, and the last 5 was a second SAW. I love when others bring me more ammo, even if they don’t intend to.

 

If you need people to fill out a CSS team I can do it but I don’t really want to if you have enough.
