ParticipantOut of curiosity Rayz, what does making a post like that do? Show that you have no clue what you’re talking about?
The fact of the matter is, in fact, that people DO know what to do: avoiding mid and long A is common sense. There are those who will rush those spots every round anyways though, just in the hope that they get a better spawn point than those AWPers on the other side (Luckily for those AWPers, we don’t allow bunnyhopping, otherwise the better players would hop through long before the CT side could get there, but I digress.).
People wonder why they get shot while standing at corner with an AWP through the doors at Long A, claiming “I couldn’t see him, he walled me.” That is a GOOD player walling corner (and it doesn’t take much “skill” really to do this), perhaps the easiest way to get past those AWPers choking Long. More people should do it, actually, then those AWP “*edited*s” wouldn’t be up so close at Long A, they’d be back in site, a much easier place to kill them at.
But, as we’ve said before, not everyone in the server is “good”, “decent”, or “half decent”, so using better tactics won’t necessarily work.
Quote:
People are calling others nub because they cant handle playing against a bunch of awpers, yet when those people get their awps taken away, they cry like little babies because they can’t kill like they use too. Hypocritical no? Here is a little taste of your own medicine you awp *edited*s: “if you can’t use any other weapon besides the awp, you shouldn’t be playing.”That might be the furthest thing from the truth. If people couldn’t take out an AWPer with a rifle (or a well placed “1 deag”) themselves, than they wouldn’t say anything about it. Last I checked, when those of us, including myself, can’t get an AWP (or just don’t use one), we do just fine, usually even killing more than without having one. So really, get your facts straight.
/rant
There’s nothing wrong with restricting the AWPs available; it’s actually a good idea. But until it is determined after a significant period of playing time whether or not the server is effected, nobody really should have anything to argue about (thus, /rant, /thread). Everybody uses an AWP sometimes (except for #5, she’s only ever used a P90), it’s just something that is fun to do (“Oh, if I hit him once, he dies”). So really, let’s just drop this conversation NOW before people make too big a fool of themselves.

ParticipantNot to beat a dead horse but 4700 for a gun is expensive. If you can buy 2 awps in a row..you have saved for quite a few rounds OR won a stupid bet. Its hard to keep an awp every round without betting but with betting, it does make it easier.
Just had to throw that out there.

The problem is that the betting system upsets the apple cart in regards to making people actually work to afford to buy this gun consistently.
I’m going to end this thread before the arguing gets any worse. We’ll readdress this issue when we reset the server stats and cycle next week.
