Renton’s Big Bro
ParticipantWell I have an unopened copy but I did get to play my brothers copy while I was home for a few days over turkey day. And wow what a game. I was blown away by this game, kind of sucks when your outside of cities. But there is so much to do, you can go absolutely anywhere, the world is almost limitless. It’s incredible, the bird’s eye view things on the viewpoints are breathtaking. I’m not sure if there was one thing I didn’t like. I loved how you constantly had to be careful and on point or you would look suspicious, very realistic(for the storyline and game). The fighting was very good, fighting multiple people was amazing, I was a huge fan of how realistic the movement between fighting different opponents at once was. Nice missions, the 3 that I played. Just very fun in general.

Participantso everything is openended? like GTA in a way? Would you say that this would be a good buy to get when I get a PS3 and the new GTA game when it comes out?

Participantsorry no xbox 360….last gaming system I bought was the PS2….

Participantit’s pretty much completely open-ended, more so than gta, because of the height element… it’s not just you can go wherever in 2d, you can climb anything that sticks out. Know that guy from oceans 11, the greaseman – if he can climb it, you can climb it ingame. It’s absolutely incredible…

ParticipantI played a fair chunk of it along with my friend who bought the game. It was fun, but things got old as the game dragged on. Especially since it is the same thing every time, only slightly altered in scenario. Not to mention that the story, while interesting, was boring as all hell in delivery. I want cut scenes where things happen, not me standing there staring at fixed camera angles for five minutes while the characters do nothing but blab on and on.
Repetition is the name of the game, though it was still fun and I really liked the one guy you have to kill
The crazy Teutonic Templar with the demon helm. Though I kept falling in the water trying to kill him which really *edited*ed me off.

December 11, 2007 at 12:26 pm #32098Cacophony
ParticipantOf course. I played it on my friend’s 360. It was released on both and believe there was word that it might have a PC port as well.

ParticipantThe game has received a few bad reviews from places like IGN and EGM, which supports my theory that game reviews aren’t worth taking into consideration. Assassin’s Creed is excelent, even if the end was so bizzar that I had to lookk up what it meant on Wikipedia. The sequel should be wonderful.

January 16, 2008 at 10:01 pm #33956AiR
Participantin general it starts out as an amazing game but progressively gets worse. you start to realize that your doing the same missions over and over again. on top of that, the game is short and theres very little to do once you beat the game. the ending is also weak. theres the shortest indepth review of a game youll get. A-/B+

ParticipantAC is an ok game. after you get wowed by the graphics, and the sky diving that nearly gives you a panic attack the first few times, i agree that it get’s quite repetitive. Then again, i think most games are like that

I don’t think the game got too repetitive if you do lots of extra stuff. It is, after all, a sandbox game. Still, the ending could have been more satisfying.
