Kuros gives some tough love, it’s just what he does, arguing with him is just like arguing with a wall, you never get your point across and he hasn’t changed at all. It really just isn’t worth it, don’t let him troll you anymore.

woah woah woah take it easy. He might not have skills in 1.6 but that does not mean he hacks in css….I suck at 1.6. I used to be good but after not playing it for so long yeah im fail at it but hey im good at css. Does this mean I hack no not at all. All you have done since you have been back is *edited* and moan about the servers and community. If its really that bad then please just leave. Your so negative its really annoying.First of all, show Kuros some respect…seriously. He’s one of the main people who made the club what it is today, and who made it as great as it was back in the day.
Secondly, I agree with him. Not about everyone, but some people. Alot of the new people have no sense of maturity, and are turning the club I once knew and loved, into a glorified CLAN. A damned circus. Choices of admins, rights council leaders have, ALLOWING NON MEMBERS TO BE COUNCIL LEADERS, which is probably the stupidest move made, and that will ever BE made in the history of the club. All blasphemy.
I’m with Kuros on that note.
Oh and uh…random fact: grammar r your friend.

ParticipantLook I play here because I love the people. That is why most of the people play here is because of the community. Alot of people were *edited*ed when they lowered the tic rate and the they left but came back because of the community. Kuros gets in the server and starts to complain about everything and I mean everything. Here is how it usually goes. He gets in plays a round makes a comment about how bad the map is. It is around this point he gets killed and then leaves. Really if your not here to make this place better and if all your gonna be doing is being negative then leave. We dont really need that at all. I show respect to people as long as they show it to me. I will not and I never have given respect to people who dont do the same for me. At this point this thread is so far off topic from the original post and it should probably be closed but thats not my call. Im more then willing to continue this in private. You talk about the “glory” days of the club and to some people these are the glory days because they dont know any better. Times change get over it.

Stuff has changed. Now you can’t change a map without the ok of another exec or high up, or just plain getting barked at. This is what YOU told me. You told me this is all down to Liam and you’re trying to get CL’s their stuff back.

I seem to remember a *edited* popular server. A server made popular by PAST council leaders, and the already strong player base of regulars it had. If it was empty, it was made empty by crappy admins, and the fact that it’s an OLD GAME. I mean seriously. From your logic, any shlub could have joined, and less than a year later said “Hey I can make this server popular, can I have root access and total control over it?”, and he’d get it. Which is what happened. Wish I would have thought of that instead of oh…I don’t know, working my *edited* off for the club for the past 4 years, only to get kicked in the nuts and screwed over. I have no regrets, however. I’d do it all again, because the club I KNEW deserved more.
Said person who actually got it, filled it with none other then his buddies. Thats ALL he did. I could have done that too. Me and about 500 other people with a few friends. Although, to be honest, if the server was empty, it should have just been shut down. You guys have shut down amazingly popular servers before, so why not kill a dud? It’s not exactly full now anyway.
I have more points on this subject, but thats the most meaningful one. I could go ON and ON on why said person didn’t deserve a position of such high importance in the club.
Don’t get me wrong MajorMajorMajor, you can be a nice guy, but CL isn’t something you deserved. As popular as you could have made any server, it wasn’t justified for you to get CL.

Based on the fact that I wasted nearly 4 years of my life on this club means that if I want to play in one of the servers, I’m going to do it. You’ve been here for what? A few months? A year? I’ve been doing things with this club since mid 2006 and officially joined the forums and community a few months later. I’ve put over 80 hours a week into this club for a longer span of time than you have even been a member. So you know what? *edited* you. If I want to complain about something I’m going to do it. If I want to remember the “glory” days where I spent hours every night trying to get the servers full and make them fun, then god *edited* it I’m going to honor the glory days. The days when people waited in line for an hour to get into my CSS server…at 4 AM. (Putting actual time into the server as an executive makes it more popular rather than just letting it sit hoping it keeps itself up, which is, quite honestly really retarded) The new execs fix things “when they are available” to fix them. I got woken up many many many times at 2-6 AM to restart the 1.6 server (which was full at those hours). You know NOTHING of what this club once was and if you did, you’d probably want it back too. And no I’m not going anywhere until I MYSELF feel like leaving.

The server was empty when there was a period about a year or so ago when we didnt have leadership within the 1.6 server. Majormajormajor came in and helped revive the 1.6 server because no one on campus would do it (not even myself). So that makes him not justified to run the server? He did a pretty good job from what i can tell, and ive been in the club since the beginning.
and you think the server isnt exactly full? Since i became CL, its JUMPED in population due to great admins and a great rotation

ParticipantThis thread has become about retarded. I have been here as long as most anyone, so let me give my take on all of this.
First, Kuros has put a hell of a lot of time into this club, please don’t give him *edited*. He is also stubborn as hell. If he says something that offends you, ignore him. Arguing will get you nowhere. Yeah he has a hard head but so does MasterP, which is why now they argue constantly, cause both think they are right 100% of the time. Pretty much trying to argue with either is about retarded.
Second, we voted in a meeting to offer the 1.6 council leader position to a member of the online community because the server’s population had dropped dramatically and nobody on campus cared. We went through a long application process and the executives voted on several very good possibilities based on their applications, time they spent in the server and in the community, etc. Throwing MajorMajorMajor under the bus is just stupid and yeah, he got the server back on track.
Finally, I am tired of all this bull*edited* in the club. It has always been here but you notice it’s always because of the same few people. Grow up. Seriously this is an online GAMING club. We are here to have fun. If you are annoyed by the players in our servers, play elsewhere, but I guarantee you will find annoying players everywhere; it’s just a fact of online gaming. Suggest solutions to problems you come across instead of just complaining all the time.
On a final note, the CSS server rank has nosedived the past 2 weeks. I suggest we find out why and fix it. We never have the problem of ppl waiting for 1 hour to join as Kuros said because the server is never full. I am not making this up. Check out the stats for the server if you don’t believe me.

The sauce server usually dies down a little bit at the end of each semester, not sure if the nosedive has been longer than just a few weeks, but it generally always drops a lil bit…

I’m not saying he didn’t fill up the server. In fact I believe I said the opposite. The fact is he didn’t deserve a position like that in the club. I’ll use me as an example, because alot of this issue for me is resentment, and rightfully so, but this could go for other people too, like Ver1tas (who also wanted 1.6 CL at one time, but was shut down by only students being allowed. Most would agree, Ver1tas would have done a KILLER job.). I tried and tried to get elected as webmaster. At the time, after 2 and a half years with the club, I figure hey, I have a shot. It was shut down when instead of making the vote for the webmaster position (who at the time, nobody could have done a better job at than me), it was voted that in order to become the Webmaster (although webmaster was empasized), or any official position within the club, you had to be 1. a WCU student or 2. a PAST student.
I wasn’t even given a chance. See, I deserved to hold the position. I was basically the webmaster ANYWAY, just without the access to the site to get stuff done myself. Instead I had people like GXTI coming to me saying “How do you do this?” etc. Which is still happening. Not that I mind helping. In fact, anything I can do for this site I still do, because I love what I do, its my hobby. I’m happy with what I have now. For now anyway. Eventually it got to the point where I had to get Adams account (which was WITH permission) to make updates and install SECURITY PATCHES, erasing the logs as I did it, cause god forbid somebody know I did something to keep the forums on track. I also needed his account for certain skinning things. I mean yeah, I had the ability to upload the skins and export and whatnot, but no permission to rebuild skin sets or edit HTML of the skins. So what I had was useless because of what I didn’t have. It was refused to me by none other than Liam. What happened here? I was banned.
The fact that I was banned for doing what I did shows you how *edited* backwards the club was at the time. I realize it all boiled down to a me vs Liam issue, and that Bitey was the one who wanted me banned, but hey, we all make mistakes (Not that I’m saying I made any). It’s not like I lied about it when asked “why were you in Adams account?”. No, I was straight up. Cause the webmaster at the time was a freakin idiot, and couldn’t get stuff done, thats why. I think back now to see how many people who were actually IN important decisions who deleted logs….and what happened to them? Nothing. Hey, I did what I had to do, and I’d do it again.
Jeez. After all this, it makes me wonder if I should consider running for webmaster again. Or if SimpWeb (me and Adam) should run for webmaster(s). I realize Adam’s already webmaster, but there’s nobody who could keep this forum going as well as me, and nobody who could keep the main website as great as us. I say that to this day. I could do SO much for this site….I mean look what I have done already, and not as a whole, but just since i’ve been back.
Okay…I’m out of this argument. I’ve gotten off my chest what I wanted to. I’ll be ignoring this topic, because it just upsets me….but I will be looking into the webmaster thing, although I’ve learned never to get my hopes up when it comes to this club, as great as it is.

Being on the different side of things I see where he was coming from all that time ago, and I will never try to say I did more than him, I said many times that he ran the club by himself, that was his decision and I have no idea how he did it. I just don’t like how it all went down, there is just a certain way you should approach people, it is called “tact”, some people either lack it or just refuse to use it. Either way if you ignore using it all this bull*edited* that just went down happens.
I just don’t understand why people have to be *edited*s about everything, kindness goes so much farther.

The plain and simple fact is that you BOTH left the club when we needed PC leadership the most. You have no right to be *edited*ed at those who stayed and kept the PC section alive. If you don’t like who it turned out, too bad, you weren’t here to help shape the club.
