Action: Report AbuseStatement: I could be mistaken but I don’t believe I am as other admins have stated such.But, I’ve heard admins aren’t to do a mapvote if the server is more than half full.On Train just a few minutes ago, 20people. a map vote for scoutknivez. (I’m unsure who but I bet you can check logs)& The fact that the map vote doesnt have to have MAJORITY (> 50%) to be accepted is annoying. (CHANGE REQUEST)

It was basically all the admins on at the time. But yeah…I did it….the server wasn’t half full it was half empty fyi.

Can’t vote when server is half full. Server was half empty. Votemap was legit. Passed didn’t it? Guess most people wanted to play sk.

Well, server was over half full. was 10v10. 29/2 = 14.5 < 20 = 10+10 (learn some basic math)

it needed 7 which is not majority. About 6 people left when it went SK.

Well according to the admin logs, the votemap got 10 votes and needed 7; assuming votemap needs 50% of votes to pass, that means there were 7*2 = 14 ppl in the server, not 20. Also, 14 is less than half (29 person server) so I dont think he actually did anything wrong.

The votemap never actually needs the 50% (incase you’ve never noticed, & it should need50+% not just 50%, 50 means half the people DONT wanna change). It always needs less to be accepted. I was ACTUALLY IN the server, i saw 10v10 as the score FROZEONSCREEN before changing maps (as well as one or two in spec). I’m not retarded.

Also i think this is how it happens, as I’m not 100% sure, but If there are 20 people on the server and only 15 vote, it will look for a majority out of the 15 that did vote, versus the total population of the server. It may not work like that but that is how it seems.
