Action: Request a ChangeStatement: Way to many admins in the 1.6 server.Getting out of hand.Just a thought from a long time member.
Whats getting out of hand? simply having alot of admin in the server is a good thing… so what do you see they are doing wrong?

ex: was 4v1 on vertigo for 4rounds PTB did nothing.
Ping kicker also sucks.
people run around with 200+ping still for a good 3 rounds or so before being kicked.
Way to many admins my Aye Es Ess. Tell me, if there are way to many admins, why do I get pm’s frequently during the week from people asking me to come get rid of he/she or asking for help in the server because there aren’t any admins around.
It’s better to have a decent number so you have at least 1 in the server as often as possible.

yes, alot of admin are on during the common times “6pm-10pm” but not so many any other time. as rayz said, we need to fill all hours of the day
Keep in mind some would rather PM or go to IRC to get the admin they want. It’s like running to the parent more willing to kiss your booboo.
So quit giving it to people who play during the “common times” & give it to people on during the “uncommon times.”

& yes, there are too many admins. Just because the whole day isn’t covered doesnt mean there arent too many.
Been in before where half the players had admin. A bit excessive.

so you came in when a lot of admins wanted to play. What is wrong with that? You act like this is a controllable thing. Like we should have an admin schedule. If you want to manage all that and pay my salary along with all the other admins salaries for working on and off common times, then by all means I am open.

It’s not hard too add “times play” or “times commonly on” onto app.
a lot of the admins only play when others are playing.
& yes it’s better to have a decent number but there is overdoing it,
as WCU has done.

Get off your high horse. We appreciate all of our admins and are grateful for all of the time they are willing to put into being on the servers and helping out.
If you see an issue in the server and an admin is not around to take care of it, come find someone in IRC. There is -always- an admin in IRC.
Not to pick the losing side but I do have to agree that having a large admin population leads to a sense of lawlessness. On many servers I’ve found that the more admins there are, the more likely they will start goofing off or abusing their powers. Having 5+ admins on at the same time is excessive and 10+ is retarded silly.
Hm, there was a time when I thought too many people were getting admin, and there are a couple who I thought shouldn’t get it, but got it (one already got his taken away). I don’t see too many admins getting on nowadays, but as I said in another thread created by Major, it’s finals time right now anyway, so that can explain the absence (of some of them). Anyway, the holidays are coming up, too, so I would say if they don’t start becoming more active within the next few weeks, the roster should be looked over.
Otherwise, I think it’s fine for now. I don’t think we should take on any more admins for the time being, though.
I kinda agree about the interpretation of rules. However, the thing about our community is we have a lot of threads in the admin section about clarifying rules, or if an admin is unruly, there’s always a thread to address the admin and issue. I think the execs do a good job of keeping the admins in line and helping out with clarification of server rules. I know I’ve bothered Liam a bunch of times (and Major a few times) about what to do if someone does this or that, or what’s allowed and what isn’t.

When the large admin population are full of admins who don’t deserve to be admins (<= I don’t really believe this) or are goofing off at an unnecessarily goofy level (<=this is more true in our case) then there is a problem. Ive played plenty of times when there were almost 10 admins on at once. If any one of those admins did something, got out of line, or had a question, it was handled IMMEDIATELY in admin chat. Like Toran said, most of the admin here keep checks on each other. It’s always discussed in admin chat before any sort of commissioning is made. And if there ever is a big complication, very rare, then we hit up IRC chat.
And Drug, I don’t mind being called a retard, but the reason I asked you to pay me, is because you want me to whipe your *edited* and feed you with a silver spoon.

i would say the admins do keep each other in line more than you think,, i would say its a rare occasion when a handfull of admin are on and they are “goofing around”. if you really think this is a problem their is always the options to play favorites and rank each admin and only the top 3 admin on can use commands… thou i dont think it’s necessary.

There should -always- be an admin on, theres about 30-40 just for the 1.6 server.
It’s a bit excessive.

theres are less than 20 admins for 1.6
