After a power outage here I’m getting RAID errors like crazy. Since I have no parity I’m going to lay low until I can get a 1TB backup drive ordered. I’m also ordering another 250GB so I can use RAID5 on the reinstall.

The problem is sporadic (it’s fine right now) so might play some but I can’t guarantee any activity until early next week. HL2.exe was freezing my system earlier tonight so I proabably have to reinstall it before playing anyway.

    /Start Remedy Log

Backed up user’s files, stopped bad services and startups, reinstalled Nvidia chipset drivers. Computer now works.

Apparently the 680i has RAID trouble with certain BIOS revisions and chipset storage drivers. It’s mainly a false positive error that causes the Nvidia RAID service to freak out and start causing all sorts of problems.

It’s working (now) so hopefully my troubles are over.

    Begin resnet blog:

Kuros is still a better RCC than Kip even though he’s not an RCC anymore.

I think it should say “Kuros, etc.” in place of just Kuros.

Here’s the knock on wood, my array is still acting up randomly. As soon as my order comes in I’m going to backup and reformat. Bright side is that I wanted to install Vista64 anyway.

Go buy more RAM then so you can make use of it :)
