Liam is consistently abusing his admin privileges. I will agree that i am obnoxious and that i can be annoying at times, but that does not warrant a ban. Every player has the right to mute other players and obviously the admins can choose to permanently mute a player as well. Liam always resorts to banning or kicking no matter what the circumstance. I probably do annoy him, but i do not “harass” him as he claims. I may ask him, “Liam, are you all right?” or “Liam, what’s wrong?” But in no way does that warrant him abusing his admin powers. I do not understand why Liam always resorts to kicking and banning. I have never cheated, posted inappropriate sprays, or broken any server rule. If anything, i bring excitement and another player to the server. I have played in the WCU server quite a few times. I distinctly remember playing with Liam and only a couple other players. Liam kept switching maps (abusing his admin powers again) and the server emptied. He does not understand that you have to make the players happy in order to bring in support for the server. Instead of allowing Liam to plague the server with his obvious incompetence, WCU should monitor their admins and limit the abuse by their own.

You were banned for consistent harrassment. You’ve done it before and you did it again. If you would like to appeal it, feel free.
As for my “abuse”:
If the server is slow I will change the map to one that will fill it up. I’ve very rarely seen the server stay empty when I come on and find it empty because its easy to fill with the right maps.
Now – so far as monitoring the admins. We do monitor the admins. I am almost done writing the scripts and plugins that will enable MySQL logging of *all* admin commands, and then we can all look at them on the web.

Consistent harassment? What is your definition of harassment. I never said anything negative nor did my actions harm the server in any way. How come i act the same way towards other admins and they have no problem with me. I have never been kicked nor banned by anyone besides you? I cannot tell you how to live your life, but you need to relax and find more enjoyment through counterstrike rather than abusing your powers to support your ego.
I will definitely beg to differ about you being able to fill the server “with the right maps.” If anyone does not believe my accusation, then another admin (yahoo earth) will gladly bolster my view. Yahoo was in the server the last time you cleared it out. The server was building players and you changed the map to Train right after a map vote had ended. The players in the server were OBVIOUSLY unhappy with your poor decision. I bet anyone reading this can guess what happened to the numbers in the server…. Just for reference, they plummeted.
Honestly, i do not perceive the admins changing the maps as a big deal. I only made this argument to further prove how Liam abuses his powers. Again, he does not provide for the type of environment WCU yearns for.
Why would i recommend you monitoring admins?! I am accusing you of abusing your power and you seem to think that it would be ideal for you to lead this system of checks and balances. How would that accomplish anything when in fact you are the guilty admin…?
I find it ridiculous that this is even an issue. Once again, i have never harassed you. The only reason you are accusing me of harassment is to give you ammunition to ban yet another player from the WCU server. If you keep this up, more players will decide to leave the server and find a new home.
Liam says it was harassment. i’m going to trust Liam on this one, and trust’s all I got since I wasn’t there. I would imagine you have in some form noticed him seeing things as harassment.
now for the extent of it, i told liam personally to go ahead and extend it when i saw you go straight for the “admin abuse” instead of a ban appeal. I need to lay that out in a rule on that, blame me for any dissatisfaction you have with that decision, but if you’re going to call out an admin for abuse of banhammer, at least start doing so with your appeal. Or if it’s like you’re calling it and an admin (in this case Liam) appears to be abusing admin, then is when you should go to irc, the forums, or otherwise contacting me or another admin, and call it out, instead of collecting a list. I’d be more than happy to jump in and watch under some alias, I’ve done it many times before when i hear there’s a player hacking.
now for where this will go: same process as always, the ban will be reviewed and you’ll hear when we decide on what to do about it.

first off, don’t make too much of a habit of listening to each other’s speakers or watching screens, etc. … then it’s bad ghosting. also the reason for teamswapping and autojoining are to keep it even, even if you do end up hearing each other.
We ain’t Halo or TF2, and we ain’t playing teams, we’re a pub. thus why this would be ghosting and not team-ness. and ghosting = bad.

First, how would i know where to make an appeal!? Look at my post count, i have 3 posts now. You cannot honestly use that against me for posting in the wrong section.
Second, GHOSTING!?! Are you kidding me? Jokingly, yahoo said i can here “Rogers” speakers. Not once did i ever look at his computer nor did he tell me where any people were. Yahoos score tonight was *edited* poor (ninja can vouch for that) and mine was nothing to be proud of. Liam is using ghosting as another way to keep me banned. Yahoo is an admin and he knows the consequences of ghosting.
Another flawed point, we chose the same teams!?!?!? I choose CT every single time. Yahoo chooses auto assign. I was auto balanced quite a few times tonight.
You cannot tell me that ghosting is the reason of the ban. That is absurd. Ask anyone in the server and see if yahoo and i were causing issues due to “cheating.”
If anything, this is another ploy for Liam to further the ban against me.

Now I know this will bring up a sour taste in some people’s mouths, but this reminds me vaguely of the Urban incident.
Banning people for being a pain in the *edited*??? Now maybe “admin abuse” was the wrong term, but that’s neither here nor there.
I do not think it is right to ban someone for “harassing” one single person when they were not disrupting the server at all and bothering no one else. And also, what happened to muting someone before a kick, and or ban. I was under the impression that this was standard protocol. Now I’m not defending Wilco just because he is my roommate, but because I feel this is an example of when an admin either needs to lighten up, or the rules should be loosened. If I wanted to go around and ban people because they were *edited*ing me off and harassing me then I would be banning multiple people on a daily basis.
And also, the reason Wilco did not post a ban appeal was because I told him not to, because I was unaware he was permabanned, and protocol is you cannot appeal if it is not longer than a week…

I’s already confused the situation so much more by interpreting the facts before I got ’em all that this is just a mess.

I am writing rules in the near future on basic decency towards admins and other players if that’s an issue. I will also write up a dispute resolution policy. and I will go through the MOTD and rules AGAIN myself to make sure they reflect all the rules that I am currently aware of there being a need for. Liam will be informed of these (although I still don’t think he abused his powers), you are strongly encouraged to read the rules to the players, and are welcome to read the admin rules as well. When I finish the MOTD then everyone will be held accountable for reading them, whether they bother to or not.
Now, I’m not sure exactly how this all went down, but I’ve had two encounters with this Roger fellow, and both have been negative. I was not the one provoked in either of these situations, but I thought I’d describe what I saw…
Both times, it usually starts out with him spamming the chatbox. This tends to annoy everyone in the server, and when anyone says anything to stand up to his bull*edited*, he attacks, like a fly drawn to the light. His method of fire usually comes in the form of “99 questions.”
For example:
Roger – (Random spam)
Person – Please stop spamming, you are getting annoying.
Roger – How am I annoying you?
Roger – Why am I annoying you?
Roger – Please man, I’m sorry, I love you.
Roger – Are you alright?
Roger – Are you feeling ok?
Mind you, he gives the person no time to respond, just keeps firing away. I know this isn’t “against the rules” but, c’mon bro, how old are you?
I believe i was on at the same time as roger, and i was annoyed. i can’t remember exactly what it was, but it was either mic spamming, or chat spamming. just my input.

like i said, i may be annoying or i may be obnoxious. however, you can mute me or the admin can mute me. Just because i ask someone questions doesnt mean i am harassing anyone. I “attack like a fly drawn to the light”… what are you talking about? I speak openly without intereferring with the rules. There are logs that the admins can view. If anyone doubts what i say, then go read them. I do nothing that would offend anyone. Just disable my chat if you cannot handle simple little questions designed to lighten the mood.

You will at no time disrespect an admin and/or talk back to them. I remember you doing this at an earlier point in time and asking you to stop and if I remember it finally resulted in a kick or short ban. Either way this is obviously something we don’t want you to do on our server. Start acting right and stop spamming the chat and we have ourselves a resolved issue, it really is that simple, got it memorized?

Whoa…I did nothing to you…I was just confirming that you knew he was not 13.
And if you must know, I am relatively active in this community via the forums although I do not go to WCU and do not live near it either. And I work hard to keep the server populated.
So I suggest we stay off the topic of My admin, because unless I have been misinformed, many people like me, and I do my job as a server admin…
And I believe this thread topic has somewhat been resolved, so maybe before it gets too far off topic we should close it?? Or we can continue off topic…

I asked the guy stupid questions that a 2 year old could respond to. Most people would play along and respond or even say that i am an idiot. All Liam did was kick me and ban me. How ridiculous is that. I thought the people involved in this community were relaxed and had a sense of humor. I know infants that have more calm than Liam.
Again, this has been blown way out of proportion. I never harassed Liam, just talked to him and asked questions. Ok, they were dumb questions, but how does that warrant Liam to ban me. That is ADMIN POWER ABUSE. I did not disrespect him. In all honesty, could he not just mute me if he thought i would be a problem.
I guarantee Liam was waiting the entire time to ban me. He was searching for anything to muster up a ban.
When am i spamming the chat? If you claim i did today, then you too are also blind. Go through the logs and show me when i spammed the chat. I agree, awhile back i did spam the chat. However, that was only one day. I have yet to do it again. I play in the server all of the time now.
The fact of the matter is Liam over reacting and abusing his power. You cannot possible argue that he did not abuse his privileges. All he had to do was one simple task, MUTE me.
I would like to remind you of another important point, he is the ONLY admin to EVER have any trouble with me in this server. I see now that i am attacking a fellow WCUer, the other admins defend Liam and attack me.
If you seriously had issues with me before, than why did you refrain from interfering previously? And its rather obvious that the admins have no fear of voicing their opinion…

However this goes, it still should only be a tempban expiring tonight. I have class from here in a minute at 8am until around 7:30pm with few breaks between and go straight to work after that, so I’ll check around 11pm. Your ban should lift by then unless you give us a reason to extend it.
