Im still messing around with YDL 6.0 on my PS3. I am having trouble getting things to work. Mostly its because Im not that good with linux, but I would like to get something like counterstrike going. I have been trying my hardest to get stepmainia to install but no luck. I just dont quite understand the installation process enough to put bigger programs on the system…It would be cool if someone could show me a thing or two sometime soon
One of the more annoying things for my PS3 Linux install was networking. Evidently the pros at Sony did the world a favor by using the same MAC address for both wireless and wired connections (woohooo we are saving hex addresses cause we are running out so fast >.>). What this means for the end user is that as long as one is enabled, the other isn’t going to work.
The Jaunty repos for the PPC edition blow. No candidate for wine, etc etc. I was going to use it to play Netflix videos but apparently Netflix is anti Linux. I removed Linux from my PS3 and got my 10GB back…what a waste of time.
