I absolutely love this map. The more I play it the more I really enjoy it. The beauty of this map is the choice you can make to either engage the other team from afar or attack/defend in close quarters. I can’t wait to play!

I keep a bootable version of the latest version of Ubuntu on my flashdrive, but until I can figure out how to install Ubuntu to a USB hard drive I won’t be using it regularly.

Just make sure it’s not like my Acer, which heats up until it kills it’s own hard drive 🙁

Honestly though, I love my acer besides the heat issue. Whatever you do….read every single review you can find.

I have tried installing steam using cedega and I had trouble with it. I know a few people who use Cedega to play cs with a small performance hit. I do not know too much about Crossover, but I have heard that it would probably run steam and play cs better than wine or Cedega can. I recently installed Steam using WINE, but it was pretty buggy.

I got really…umm….”up there” sunday night and was wayy to tired to go to class on monday. I missed an exam and lab. I told the teacher who gave the exam that I had a condition that was “incompatible with a test taking environment”…she sent me an e-mail telling me I could take the exam the next day

    Lukewarm Big Water 760ii

the 760ii only has dual flux capacitors, you need to get the 765xi with tri-capacitors and a liquid management system to counteract the bandwidth/flowrate inhibitors.

Well, Crossover costs $$ and I try to keep my linux free. But true, you can install games in crossover and they work just fine.

Kuros, I understand where you are coming from on the compatibility issue. Would you consider running linux if everything worked seamlessly in linux as it does in windows…haha, well windows never runs seamlessly, but that’s a different story. I can listen to music, install drivers, write papers, and everyday things in linux. The main problem is when it comes to specialized utilities for things like syncing with a phone and such. This is just because the manufacturers and software designers don’t see a need to port their programs to linux, but hopefully as linux gets more popular, they will.

I’m not sure I’m the best Linux posterboy, but these guys have some solid reasons. The main reason that I think it’s better is because it’s free. The second being that you can do 90% of what you can do on a windows/mac on a Linux box. Your grandmother could most likely do 100% of what she does on her windows machine on a linux box. With multiple desktops, Linux can be more productive.

I asked Kuros why linux sucks. Maybe he had other reasons that actually pertained to Linux as a whole(all distros…which would have to include Ubuntu), not “most distros” like you said. You just told me it was hard to install flash on a Linux box, I showed you that it wasn’t.

Most Distros aren’t Ubuntu, hence the reason I recommended Ubunt and not “most distros”

hmm Why not just use Linux? You can play your windows games (albeit slower) and find plenty of software to do all the tasks you do in Windows/OSX. Personally, I dual boot between Ubuntu (the most popular “flavor” of linux) and Windows. Linux has all the stability and sleekness of OSX and I use windows to play CS. Linux also is free. I would encourage anyone who is contemplating buying a desktop mac (I say a desktop because they are pretty much the same as a windows computer, where as mac laptops are far superior to windows laptops) to look into Ubuntu to start dabbling around with linux. I would also encourage anyone who is even semi computer savvy to look into Ubuntu.

It’s very hard to get people to work together. And the point you make about killing the whole team isn’t valid because you could never be able to do that consistently.

We are talking about a pub. Rarely can you ever get a whole team to collaborate, or even part of the team to follow any direction.

You say that it’s not about how the other team plays and it’s how YOU play, but YOU is one person…not the other 10 or more kids that want to chill behind and wait for YOU to die

The difference between aztec and dust is that water and ct bridge room can be much easier to take than tunnels. Aztec is very ct sided, but nowhere near the amount that dust is.

Gotcha. Well, either way, 1/2 the players in the server have a very little chance of winning when the map changes to dust.
