Yes, but I think the general concensus of numerous career soldiers is more valuable than one guy who has been president for under a year and who keeps *edited*ing off the military brass.

While it’s true that not everyone shares the same views as you, there are rules that people still have to abide by and people to enforce them.
Let’s say human sacrifice was still practiced today (it may well be in remote areas, but that’s besides the point; I just mean openly and maybe on a mass scale). It may be acceptable to that culture to kill someone for their god or for whatever reason, but if they come to the US and try to kill someone for the same reason as they did back home, they’re on our turf. We enforce our laws. They murdered that person. It’s a clash of beliefs, but there’s order to maintain here.
So even though people view things differently, it doesn’t mean that we let them run rampant on our servers just cuz we can’t make their point of view conform to ours. They can either abide by the rules — watch what they say and play — or they can leave (voluntarily or by force).
when i said that, i was referring to “me” not as the server, but as a person claiming to be offended.
i always enjoyed the crash bandicoot series. back in the day, driver and driver 2 were pretty good, but they’re pretty much been eclipsed by the GTA series now. i always thought the army men series was pretty fun. the only one i ever owned was army men: air attack, but the others in the series were fun.

I will agree that it is up to the people running the server to dictate what is allowed and not allowed on the server. I was pointing out we all get near the line. How far is too far tho? No matter what you say, someone is always going to be offended. People take offense at way too little in this day and age. Should we be walking on eggshells trying to be completely inoffensive to every single group of people? I guess what I’m getting at is, we really don’t know if something offends someone until after the fact and they complain. Albeit, some words are obviously going to offend some people. *edited*, queer, the n-word, and other obviously flagrant words would be crossing the line and should never be used, but there are a lot of fringe words that may or may not offend someone. And at what point does it get ridiculous? If I were to come in the server, someone asks me how life’s been lately, and I say it’s been a b****, and then a female comes on and says that I offended her by using that word, are we not allowed to say that anymore? At some point people have to suck it up and accept things in life. I’m very religious, and when I hear someone say God D***it, I don’t like it very much, but I accept the fact that I can’t control other people’s actions, and I’m not going to force my views or values on to anyone else.
Listen, we all get near the line. It just happens. Look at the quote in your sig masterp. I’m not trying to be a *edited* here, but sometimes, it’s all in good fun. I kno I say things a ghey all the time in the server. To be honest, I can’t imagine that many *edited* people playing counter-strike in the first place and if they do, I’m sure they have a hardened skin by now. It’s not like hearing the words “*edited*” or “*edited*” or any derivation of these is an uncommon thing in most any pub out there.

lol srsly tho, do we really need to put the rules in adverts? that’s what the motd is for. if they don’t wanna read it, then they’ll get slapped/slayed/kicked and learn the rules soon enough. that’s how it’s always been done. i don’t think we need to clutter up the chat area with rules. just my .02
