SpectatorI’m already registered for the TF2 portion of the LAN. Wish I could come to the COD4, but my family’s coming from way down southeast.
Are we assigned a team for this? If so, are we allowed to know ahead of time who we’ll be matched with, and what maps we’ll play on?

SpectatorYeah, I kind of figured it wouldn’t, but it never hurts to have buddies in the polluted sea of the Interwebs, either.
And it’s a two-way street, as well.

SpectatorSteam name is “moralt3nacity”. It’s an old one. If you knew me in RL, you’d see the irony. ;D
I play almost nightly, and the BRBU servers – if anyone’s interested – do events almost every day.
TFTuesdays,
Mod Thursdays,
Friday Night Fights,
PlanetSide Saturdays
Serious Business Sundays.
We’re good people.

SpectatorProbably not the reason I came, I was reasonably certain it wasn’t all that uncommon in the UNC system. There were other reasons, entirely.
That said, I’m very interested, but I’m kind of dismayed by the server populations. Not that that’s a deterrent or anything… could probably use some extensive seeding (in the server I operated, I’d often install a SourceTV [it shows up as a player] and then just go in there and idle, so it looked like there was at least a friendly duel).
It’s also immensely helpful to have a huge friendlist and cojones enough to invite.
