oh I miss read your post I thought you asked WHAT is the result. and no it wasnt he OOC i know he killed me to go into a more powerful form that you have to eat someone to use. inc all i know is he jumped behind me and everything went dark. then I woke up in the earth circle.
If it’s premeditated you go get staff before you do it and they will probably go with you. if its a theft of opportunity then you find staff asap after the fact. you have to hide the prop and tag(together) for the rest of the event. at the end you give the prop back to staff and keep the tag. the prop is then returned to the owner. so far all I have stolen is coin because people like to leave their pouches open.
if you get caught stealing someones OOC stuff they you get banned from the game and the popo is called
going in the morning to travel to North Virgina to go to the other chapter of this same larp for the first time. is supposedly a “more civilized place” meaning ill probably not get away with stealing as much as I do at the NC chapter. all in character of course…
yea this game has been around since i think 97. its a living thing so there are patches to the rules every now and then but the basics stay the same. the only thing that turns people away is that after your first event(which is free) there is a $25 charter fee to the BSA and it is $50 per normal event. that does include food, renting the camp for the weekend, and other necessities. its really actually worth the price.
if you want to name it the Ephraim complaint department go right ahead but with all the flak we have been getting from name association i don’t think it would be a good idea to tie wcu gaming club to that link. i apologize for not messaging you about it Ive had a lot on my place lately.
yea took it with my phone but you can get the point with the coins. the one that looks like a copper really isnt. its the reverse side of the silver(the “tails” side is the same on all three coins). I actually dont have a copper right now but its the same size as the silver with the look and feel of a penny and it has a harp on the “heads” side. some people call the different coins Harp, Sheild and Dragon.

and these are weapon, armor, and item tags, most of which cannot be used without an adequate prop. they can however be sold without one.
everyone is in it to have fun if someone had the means to counterfeit our coins they probably would already be helping tim make them. malicious personalities don’t last long.
if someone did manage to INC( in character) counterfeit and get caught then mitch’s answer would be appropriate but i dont think you can do that.
ill post pics of the coins later and you will see its not that easy to copy. and if someone did, most of the INC thieves(myself included) would know right away by the sound it would make hitting the floor.
ahh I see what you are talking about the big barbarian looking guy with the axe. gryme makes his own cigars and will actually sell them to people over 18 at events for In character money (copper, silver, gold)
oh and about the guy smoking; he probably just rolled his own cigarettes. many people do that because they look more “in Character” than commercial brands.
first of all bitey is spot on with everything he said. for everyone else Avalon is ran through venture crew 1433 so it is Boy Scouts of America sponsored kinda. all intoxication is Role played and all alcoholic beverages are something else. no drugs, no alcohol, no porn, and no “cohabitation.” when Destiny(my girlfriend) goes with me in the fall we will probably be in the same cabin but in separate beds. this is because the minimum age is 14 and we get some that young. this is also not just a couple friends getting together. the big convention events will have upwards of 120 people I believe.
well no booze. but the game plays kinda like a video game. based on your gear, abilities, fighting syle, and other things you can do X amount of damage and you have Y amount of life and armor( making up your hit points) if your hit your opponent enough times before your Y is 0 then you live and they dont… its a little more in depth than that but thats the basics. as long as i am behind my target i can hit them for 19 points with the first hid and completely ignore armor. i can take alot of people down in one hit.
