Vista was just plain awful (and I used it too, and it was as awful as XP was stable).

The Mac is definitely a good machine (for the money). And because it’s on a Unix base, it’s about as stable as XP was (and that can only be a good thing).

I’ve also been playing with the release candidate for W7, and it’s really impressing me, and I thought Vista sucked big, fat, monkey balls (and the entire reason I switched to the Mac 3 years ago).

Well, Kaz-Ka told me yesterday (or the day before) that he couldn’t get the multipurpose room for some weird reason, so that was my question.

And yes, I do know where Central is. I actually have lived there 2 summers in a row.

Michael Huffman encouraged those in attendance (especially the freshmen) to attend the Saturday Mini-LANs at Central Drive Hall.

Speaking of those, when exactly are these Saturday Mini-LANs (i.e. are they at 5pm, do they start in the afternoon, etc.), and what is the location this week?

I’ve noticed that Dell has completely dropped the ball on a number of different cases, and sadly, I’m not surprised by what you say. Dell used to be such a good company, and now they’re in the toilet.

Too bad, as the Dell I had back in the late 90s was one of my favorite desktop gaming PCs. I guess you can’t go home again.

One suggestion for SSBB: Why not try Super Sudden Death with no teams? I never did like teams in Smash Brothers anyway, usually when I go up against the computer players, it’s every character for him or herself.

And if you ban Pit, I’m not going to be participating. He’s my favorite character next to Marth.

Yeah, I just tried to go to that link and I got exactly what Poseidon reported: A broken link.

I’m practically an old hand with the PC stuff, but I haven’t played a real PC game in forever (mainly due to problems regarding running newer games).

The main problem with the PC (I think) is that there isn’t enough graphically capable PCs on campus. I see a lot of plastic MacBooks (like what I have), and I see a ton of computers that don’t run CSS and many other newer games very well.

I don’t know whether we could wing a sponsorship deal with Alienware or not (however, since we have a sponsorship deal with Gamestop, it wouldn’t hurt to ask), but if we could nail an Alienware sponsorship deal, the WCU Gaming Club could give away Alienware PCs with a voucher to come to the next LAN event. Just an idea I had, if it isn’t feasible, don’t take it personal.
