SpectatorThe server has actually getting back in the grove of things with people showing up in the server and showing up for long periods of time. I know if people start going to the server and staying even if it is just bots for about 30 minutes then people will start showing up and playing, which I am sure we all want that. Well I can’t wait to see everyone in game. Later

Spectatoryo check out this thread; I got banned again, they say I don’t respect their either. I didn’t say anything in-game to them, maybe cause I referred to who banned me as a “noob admin” in my post or something. It sucks cause I get 5 ping to BOSS servers and I like the how they limit flashbangs.
http://forums.boss-gamers.com/index.php?showtopic=10209
I got permabanned here for ‘not respecting’ anyone after I got Liam’s banhammer for ‘hacking’. I wouldn’t be surprised if something like that happened on the BOSS server. Why do people on the internet think they deserve respect when all they do is immature, irrational *edited* like this? And why do noob mods assume people are hacking, doesn’t VAC get up on that *edited* pretty quick?

VAC at times can take 2-5 weeks to ban someone, so no, they unfortunately dont get up on it pretty quick.

Spectator2-5 weeks wow that’s pretty bad lol. I always thought that admins were sort of lame ducks when it comes to hackers, but 2-5 weeks wow.
Is there a way to expedite the processes if someone demos them and files a report or something?
January 29, 2008 at 1:00 pm #34984Liam
SpectatorNo. Valve does it that way on purpose so that people wont know what hacks are and are not working.
It’s all on the website.
January 29, 2008 at 1:07 pm #34986Bitey
Spectatorrekk all you just did is stereotype admins into one little category of how you think they are, are you really that ignorant? If you knew all the admins who work for us it would be hard to fit all of them into that category, we are a very diverse group.
Also respect should be given anywhere you go, this is our house, just like at the BOSS server that is their house. You don’t go into someone else’s house you don’t know sit down on their couch flip on their television and prop your muddy shoes up on their coffee table, and if you do it’s no wonder why you can’t comprehend what respect is and why it should be given.

Spectatorbitey is right I’m super ignorant and hotheaded. But this is the internet, all I have to do is push buttons on my tarantula gaming keyboard and I’m a forum celebrity or some douchebag troll amirite? I’m gonna shoot out anything from logical fallacies to YOURMOM jokes, with unlimited emails and IP addresses I can do it whenever I want.
Based on what I’ve seen myself do, I can say that for the most part I’m sometimes an asset to a good CSS game. Specifically in the BOSS game I got banned in I had a 4.0 ratio and was actively talking in teamchat as to what the team should do for the round. Even if noobs are around I tell them to aim for the head and use a corded mouse or autoshotty or something; I don’t know why some admins on the other team had a problem with my personality/hax, I can only assume they have something up their *edited* cause I’ve never hacked or been demo’d.
When I’m playing CSS and some admin wants to use his powers against me,yall know I don’t stand for that *edited*. If I’m shooting my mouth off in a game to an admin I can somewhat understand (I wasn’t shooting off to liam when he banned me (to throw that in there(lol))). Being the hothead that I am, getting banned and my rational processes make me focus my anger/frustration on the person who banned me. If it was two people who banned me, then the two people who banned me. If 3 -> 3 etc.
I know you guys don’t trust my judgment but in my opinion he was just a whiny brat with some powers who loved calling me a nig.
January 29, 2008 at 3:07 pm #34989Liam
SpectatorAnd that is why you were permanently banned from here. To discuss things rationally is one thing. To flame / harrass / be an *edited* is another.

A good escape yes, one that brings comedy at what I consider the expense of others but then again everything is subjective and for all I know you guys are happy that I am here talking to you.

I’m sorry that you feel that you have to. I personally will tell anyone to their face anything I’ll tell them online. I know not everyone’s like that though.

SpectatorI know for a fact I treat everyone I meant on the internet the same as in person, just like some people I have played CS with but never meant in person I consider my friends. Yes I might not be able to go get drunk with them but I do get to hang out with them while shooting so other players. Which is sometimes just as fun as getting drunk especially when you do not have enough money to go get drunk haha. I mean you can ask Bitey, Ninja, Yahoo, and others I frequently play with that I joke, make-fun of, and enjoy their company in game just as much as I would if we where hanging out in person.

Who’s to say its impossible … from what i see you are the only one that thinks this way and for that i pity you. It is not that hard to be yourself nor is it all that daunting of a task to realize that others on here expect you to be true and considerate as you should be in person. In my opinion we are not asking to much, and you just have to get your mind out of that box and start thinking openly.
