The one I would suggest is Charlotte…There may be one closer to WCU that is big though. It is a good drive from Charlotte

only about an hour away from school
Charlotte is ~3hrs
AVL its not a hub like charlotte, but its still a decent size airport and you should beable to find many flights into ashville.
I don’t know how serious this discussion is, but here are my thoughts.
Club money funding trips for people to come is out of the question. However, I’d love to see new people at our LANs especially people we know and play with so I’d say passing around a hat to collect money at a meeting is a cool idea.

mines a bit smashed and i don’t trust it to make it all the way out and back >.> or i’d have no problem taking my car.weekends are gud…i r has’ing 3 days weekends everyday lol

It is not out of the question, it is the question, of course it wouldn’t be every random joe that asked for it, it would be a sort of prize for some kind contest we can hold. Or it can simply be the person ranked highest in the server that we can afford to pay for. It is not out of the question by any means it is how you look at it.
theres an airport in raleigh too, i can totally pick someone up there on my way

In light of our club’s recent financial woes, I’d have to say that it would be irresponsible for the club money to fund travel expenses for individual people. I think the club’s money can be better spent elsewhere, but that discussion is better suited for another time/place.
Passing a collection where people can put money towards travel expenses for people could certainly help, but I think the money that this club budgets around should be spent elsewhere.
their could be incentives for first time traveling members like free entry or something of this sort. Anything the club can do to help with the travel cost of members it probably a good idea. just tossing that out their.
free entry nodice…way too risky. they spent alot on tickets but waiving that 5 dollars, *edited* sign me up =P
sorry…spiteful so-cal is, as raine would say, spiteful. I r wanting to go to Wcu to lay my egg’s in Becca’s…i mean Jason’s…yea, nevermind that >.>
but if someone like me spends 300 dollars or more for a roundtrip ticket. 5 bucks isn’t the biggest of my worries
