get a big banner and drape it over doorways in the front of halls n such

    thats what they do here

oh, and you could also find out where the biggest classrooms are and ask the prof if u can announce prior to the class about the lan. we have a class of 2,700 ppl and there are usually 2-4 groups per class that propagate their events, but even in the smaller 100-300 ppl range they do it too

One of the more attractive things of coming to Western to me, all my professors know me and talk to me on a personal level rather than they just teach my class, I like the closer feeling.

Greek and SGA go through the proper mediums to get their fliers up, our fliers will be put up beside theirs if we do this too, this holds only true for Residential buildings. Academic buildings are kind of free range, if you see fliers up you are probably good for putting one of ours up beside it.

I don’t really want to get into a *edited*ing contest over this but (in Reynolds) there are Greek and SGA (or were) fliers everywhere. And by that I mean Potion yanked a good 9-10 down off our hall alone one night. They do not go through the same channels that we do, they simply put them up where they feel like it and put complaint mail on the toilet roll for immediate use. We need to start our own toilet roll.

As Akuzan said, our fliers were put on the bulletin boards, something that maybe .01% of the student body stops to look at.

I know Reslife pays for them and want to put them up in their own manner but when their manner doesn’t suit our needs maybe we need to ask whether it’s really worth the advertising loss to use their fliers. If we can spend $50 and bring in 30 extra people, that’s a 200% return on our “investment”.

The fact that it was mountain heritage day might have also been an issue?

not really bc alot of ppl actually did both they went walked around and then came to the lan, if you think about it, mountain heritage day should have brought in more ppl due to the fact students would of stayed on campus.
