SpectatorI am Almighty!!! I have reached Lvl 20! BOW BEFORE ME!!!
November 5, 2008 at 8:09 am #61967Kappamerc
SpectatorSo my skill in big guns and charisma is ridiculous. However, I absolutely love the fact that my character is a charismatic guy who carries around gigantic weapons.
Just saved some guy from being tied up by a bunch of super mutants. I wonder if that will benefit me in the future x_X.

SpectatorYeah, I did the optional bit for the Mirelurk quest. Not to hard really, especially when you’re wearing the Lyons Power Armor.
I think the only one I didnt do optional for
is the one where it asks you to reprogram all the robots in RoboCo, because once again, my science skill blows.
Also, was the person you saved the one in Germantown? Or was it elsewhere?
November 5, 2008 at 9:14 am #61971Rydell382
SpectatorI also got this really awesome perk that reveals all locations on the map, you still have to visit them, but you know where they are. I also maxed out My Energy Weapons, Lockpicking, and Big Guns skills

SpectatorI totally just did a quest where I was given a ghoul mask as the reward
.Then I went to this scary building in the southwest part of the map that was full of ghouls and a creepy feel/story behind it.
Totally digging the mask though. I walked through the entire building not having to kill one ghoul… I must admit, their sounds along with the creepy music made me feel a tad tense, even with the mask on. There is actually a pretty neat item if you go all the way through the building
.November 5, 2008 at 6:10 pm #62033Rydell382
Spectatorwhat’s the exact name of the building? Because I can look it up next time I’m playing, oh and i also made it back to the good karma side
November 5, 2008 at 7:27 pm #62042Cacophony
SpectatorI still need to resolve the Tenpenny Towers crap. Either side is evil, so I’m just going to have to deal with the blow to my Karma.
And yeah, what building is that? I still have so much exploring to do…
November 5, 2008 at 8:48 pm #62058Rydell382
SpectatorI killed all the guards, tenpenny, and the secretive guy and got all their fingers with no bad karma effects, just don’t kill the civvies
November 5, 2008 at 11:19 pm #62075Cacophony
SpectatorDoes that complete the quest though?
November 5, 2008 at 11:24 pm #62077Rydell382
Spectatorwhich quest? I think I may have flown off the handle there and messed up a bit…
then again I did blow up megaton and became friends with them, sort of…
November 5, 2008 at 11:30 pm #62080Cacophony
SpectatorWell, if you talk to the head of Security enough he’ll open a quest line to kill the ghoul and his friends for some caps and a Chinese Assault Rifle (or Assault Rifle, it scales with level). But if you then talk to the ghoul you’ll get the option to release a horde of ferals on the tower and murder everyone inside.
That….or you convince everyone in the tower to live with the ghouls. Apparently you return later and they’re all dead save for the ghouls, with the ghouls citing that they had a disagreement with the previous tenants.
That sounds like the most morally gray of the options, but I *edited*ed a few people off by calling them bigots so they won’t agree with me and when I killed Tenpenny (Good karma for that!) the head of security takes over and refuses. So, it’s either murder the ghouls or murder the tenants. I.E. Take the Caps or Get the Mask, but suffer through karma along the way.
November 5, 2008 at 11:32 pm #62083Kappamerc
SpectatorJust a note, I actually got it so that the ghouls could live in Tenpennys tower… For doing that I got the ghoul mask and 500 creds
.November 5, 2008 at 11:38 pm #62085Cacophony
SpectatorYeah, I screwed that up by making fun of the stupid wife of that one Edward the II guy and killing Tenpenny.
November 6, 2008 at 12:06 am #62089Kappamerc
SpectatorMy charisma is extremely high so I just told her and her husband they had to leave!
November 6, 2008 at 9:50 am #62123Cacophony
SpectatorI finished it last night. Decided to just help the ghouls and take a little extra bad karma by looting and stealing enough caps to make up for the fact that I wasnt going to be getting 500 caps reward.
November 6, 2008 at 1:44 pm #62153Oh Malley
SpectatorI just started over not that long ago. I will say though.. Fallout 3 is by far one of the best RPGs out. A perfect blend of the Fallout universe, humor, and style and Oblivion aspects. Makes it wondrous.
November 7, 2008 at 9:26 am #62304Kappamerc
SpectatorSo the ghouls actually kill the tenants eventually?
. Definitely sad now. I wouldn’t have minded them killing the sales people tho, they were stuck up.November 7, 2008 at 9:37 am #62307Nickname
SpectatorOk team I need an opinion… do I buy this game? (Oblivion is one of my favorite games ever) or do I buy Left 4 Dead? (I love co-op games)
November 7, 2008 at 9:51 am #62308Rydell382
Spectatorthat is a very good question, i vote for Fallout only because it’s out right now and not 2 weeks
November 7, 2008 at 9:53 am #62309Kappamerc
SpectatorLeft 4 Dead, get Fallout from me.
You will not regret buying Left4Dead over Fallout. I promise. That demo is absolutely epic and I can’t stop playing the 2 measly maps they allow you to play!
Seriously, my best moment in left4dead was when we ran into a room as a horde of zombies were coming at us, shut the door and as the zombie broke a whole in the door a smoker shot his tongue out at me and choked me up against the door. My team mates could only watch me die or shoot me to death because they couldn’t hit the smoker. It was absolutely hilarious and epic at the same time.
LEFT 4 DEAD buy it!
November 7, 2008 at 2:35 pm #62343Cacophony
SpectatorWell, if you can get Fallout from him, then yeah buy Left 4 Dead I guess.
If not…FALLOUT! Cause its awesome.
I’m trying to finish the Lincoln Memorial quest now. But it tells me to meet Hannibal at the memorial and he simply wont show up and the quest marker is stuck outside of the subway entrance to the mall.

You’ll get around 500 caps picking the safe locks open and with only minor karma penalties if you’re trying to stay good.

November 7, 2008 at 4:02 pm #62361Cacophony
SpectatorRofl, nice.
Well then, you didnt really miss out on anything other than the satisfaction of seeing them dead. So, there you go.
November 7, 2008 at 4:17 pm #62363Kappamerc
SpectatorI still haven’t made it to Rivet City… I keep finding *edited* to do lol…
November 7, 2008 at 5:59 pm #62390Cacophony
SpectatorI’m just delaying the end of the game.
Which means I’m occasionally hunted by the Enclave in their little VTOL’s, but otherwise all’s well.
