Here’s the thing though. There is very little that my pc, Citan’s hunk of junk, or Raven’s PC can do that yours cannot.Which is why I don’t care. It may not be the best but at nearly 2 years old it still keeps pace and when you strip everything else away that’s all that really matters.
All I have to do is spend $250 on a new video card and it easily catches up to you guys.

What’s wrong with yours? I hate mine WTB new one, but Kstone restrictions are in place blocking all attempts to spend money on PC components.

I’d like to expand but I’m out of easily accessible space. To add any more SATA I’d need a controller card. My PSU will need to be replaced in about a year due to capacitor aging. Cooling pump probably needs replacing.
It’s basically got about a year left in it before things start breaking down. For the near 24/7 usage I’ve gotten out of it, I’m not complaining.

You need to get that upgraded with the dual 9800GTX cards and it will be epic win.
Also 6GB RAM on a laptop is ridiculous, and extremely expensive.

BEASTLYthanks. My virtual machines will love me for that RAM upgrade. You should see what I’m currently running and you’d realize that I probably had this beast coming to me. Athlon 64 3500+, 1.5 GB of crappy RAM, 320 gig hard drive, and an eVGA 8500 GT that I upgraded to 6 months ago. I currently get a BIOS warning every time I turn it on and it’s not always the same one.

If you’re ever on campus, swing by the CRIB and take a look. It’s running gOS right now. I gotta come up with a method of cooling the oil because after a few days it starts to get pretty warm. Usually you send the oil through a radiator, but if I did that it might get messy. I’m planning on doing something with a huge bolt, thermoelectric cooler, and a leftover HS/fan. Anyway, since I took the video I put a 120mm fan in there so you could see it slowly turn. Pretty fun.
