Okay so I just blew through the story mode, and unlike everyone else who are on the Gears2 swing, I must say this was more disappointing than Halo2. The spoiler below explains my frustration. Highlight all the black to read about the crappy ending of the game and some of the other crapola’s. People who have played the campaign should understand.
So if you played through the campaign, you know that you blow up a mutated Burmak who looks very similar to the Flood King in Halo. Also what this game seems to do is throw in a bunch of random *edited* garbage to fill a story.
Listed below is all the crap that makes no sense at all:
-Why show Dom’s wife dying, then have no follow up on it? Dom doesn’t go crazy, doesn’t cry, the only thing that happens is he looks at her picture at the very very very end. Simply stupid.
-Scourge was the most pathetic boss I have ever fought in a game, ever. I had more fun washing my car this morning.
-The answer to getting rid of all the locust, is to sink a CITY which THE LOCUST WERE GONNA SINK ANYWAY??!? what were the guys at EPIC smoking??????
-You are introduced to a queen, who you see once, hear every *edited*ing level, and then don’t get to fight, or even see ever again. Another bunch of crap.
-All these sloppy half assed additions to the game make this game pathetic. They try to patch up their horrible horrible mess with a short audio after the credits of Marcus’s father questioning what we have just done. My only guess is he is questioning why the game had to be so *edited*ing bad.
If someone who has gone through the campaign could please explain the story a little better that would be great. Because as of now, this was the biggest disappointment in a game ever. It makes Halo2 look epic.
I’m going to scratch the CD, go back to Blockbuster, blame it on them, and DEMAND my eight dollars back.
