Not sure what they told you but we were told it was less than a rem extra per year outside containment. Not sure I believe that but lol?
Well both Harris and McGuire are PWR’s which run WAY cleaner than boilers. They say the same thing out at Harris about it being less than 1 rem outside of containment a year, I know I’ve been inside radiation areas and not picked up any dose, got contaminated once in spent fuels but it was because I wasn’t wearing cotton (nor does anyone tell you to wear cotton, its something you have to learn…)
